People will still find a way around it. Maybe it will slow the people who we catch at the border anyway and have to consider for asylum. But do you honestly think that's some gigantic number where having a wall is going to have any measurable effect on illegal immigration? Or does it just *feel* better to have a wall?

Also ton of the people here illegally didn't sneak across the Mexican border. They came on marriage visas, student visas, work visas, tourist visas, etc. Are you going to stop all those as well?

The US is one of the most economically lassez-faire countries on the planet so the idea that a libertarian and a social liberal could be in agreement on the central issues of the day shouldn't be weird. But it is because most self described "libertarians" in the US are actually conservatives who wouldn't mind too much if weed were legal.

None of this really makes sense to me. You claim to be (half?)-Syrian but you have beef with muslims. Half my family came from Syria yes but I am an American, I was born here. There are good and bad people of all religions but major U.S. terror attacks are disproportionately done by Muslims so we should be disproportionately careful about letting them in.

My entire family, both sides, came over the right way, legally, pays taxes, etc. I don't mind immigrants but people who come over illegally are a completely different animal.
