What part of 'Trump is worse' is not getting through here?

Damn proposed amendment 4 sounds like it could gives some fascist power to suppress votes.

It's literally talking about stuff like littering ordinances, because as of now and the past 100 years, everything in Alabama counties has to go thru the state legislature. And most every time, it gets voted on by the entire state, as a constitutional amendment. Yes, county ordinances.

Anyway, have you ever heard of a write-in disqualifying a ballot

I'll take your word for it. On our ballot, all the descriptions were a lot more specific. Not just in the voter book, but on the ballot.

Afaik you can write in in unopposed races, but ianal. Also write in deeznuts please.

The obfuscation is intentional.

Some media does a halfway decent job explaining, plus I have a lifetime of following the politics here. Finally got tired of the simpleton's approach to the math of not voting, plus protest not voting thing, so this is my first time and I don't want to **** it up.

I know you can write in. And once upon a time I knew you're not disqualified for writing Dick Butt, but now that it's me I'm suddenly paranoid

This thread could go for another 50 years and nobody would ever write a dumber sentence in it.

Was it this thread or politardia where VMF came in pretending like he was neutral and wanted to be persuaded which candidate was best?

Write in voting laws vary by state, but in general writing in a vote only invalidates your vote on that race, not the whole ballot.

I changed because I think Hillary is the safer bet. Trump is like AskJeeves.com, sure there's that 3% chance it shoots from 1 - 30 in a month, but I'm not sure I can afford to take that risk. Clinton is McDonalds, stock won't move much, I'll collect my dividends and we'll get em next time.

Yeah. Got to mine at 6:15 thinking I would beat some of the rush. Probably still 45 minutes still until I vote.

Right?

I even emailed the Alabama Dems to see if they had write-in suggestions, but no response. The Alabama Dems are, uh, on their last few breaths, if you haven't seen the news lately. So I guess it's understandable.
Well, "should" but you know how these goddamned marms are.

Pretty sure they're only allowed to check their emails once per day in prison.

Cast my vote for Madam President this morning.

Got to my polling place at 6:50, out at 7:09, about 25 people in front of me when I got there. Probably 100 in line by the time polls opened.

My friends, even the ones who are sick of me:

I enjoy these conversations, and I believe we all make each other better through them. Thank you for this thread.

The one thing I ask: GO VOTE.

Get it done.

If you're team Chillary, make calls today. You can still motivate people to vote. Go to her website and find the "make calls" feature.

If you're team Trump, I don't know what to tell you, as his campaign is a dumpster fire and I don't believe they really even have GOTV except for racism. You're gonna lose anyway. Start drinking.

Guess I'm voting for Nick Saban in all the one-person races

Don't want to take any chances

Like, technically invalidates it? Even if there is only one person on the ballot in that race?

I'm not writing in for President, or any of the other races with more than one person listed on my ballot

Also: lol. I expected a line at my voting location.

I'm the first and only person here, and beat some of the poll workers here.

Took me almost two hours to vote. Changed my mind three times, had to have a new ballot given to me each time and people couldn't believe I was not decided yet. Voted for Hillary. Feel terrible about it. Gonna go to church now and pray.
