It's a pretty big mistake to keep assuming rational behavior and I don't get why people are still making that mistake.

Drumpf has done everything possible to sabotage his campaign including basically admitting that if elected Pence (who Drumpf is so unsure of he tried to get out of the appointment at midnight the night before the announcement) will basically serve as president while Drumpf is a figurehead with a title (which, btw, sums this fraud's entire ****ing life better than any anecdote can. He wants all of the prestige, wants the title, wants his name on the building, but will do absolutely NONE of the work that implies or demands), and yet his following grows

At some point you kinda have to stop assuming things normalize and actually address what's happening

I think at that point it will be a repetitive game of issue jumping where Hillary comes out with the stance, and Trump is left having to attack her/it.

I don't see him putting together a genuine plan for the wall or anything at this point.

So yea I would look for this transition to be ignited by the convention and then heat up around sept-oct.
I think all this is correct. I'll be getting money down on Clinton pre convention. The number of swing states Trump needs to win basically requires a general swing towards him. The 538 model is pessimistic about Clinton atm becauee there has clearly been a Trump swing and the default theory is that that probably continues. But at some point, Hillary is going to land a strong punch and then keep him on the canvas. Imo.

Do people forget that Pence was responsible for arguably the largest crusade against gay rights that we have seen in the last 5 years?

Not sure this is correct. Atm people seem pretty set on voting against muslims and brown people.

Not sure this is true, but Hillary still has the convention to make the case in her favor.

The Trump doubters with just an unreal naive and clueless understanding of the world and country they live in. Making word for word the same posts for why he can't win. Not arguing that Trump should win or even will win but he's certainly doing a lot better than you and your small circle or likeminded friends think he is.

I think turnout will be pretty low which will make it pretty close. I still doubt Trump can win the swing states he'll need to to win, but it will be a sweat imo

Wait, wood is a legit trump supporter?

Wood - do your reasons for supporting trump go beyond muslims and mexicans or do you find those sufficient?

This is what I mean. He had tens of millions of votes in the Republican primary. As hard as it is for you to wrap your head around there, are real people out there who will be voting for him. Real functional human beings. Millions and millions of them. You might not want it to be true but it is true. Again, posts like this just reek of cluelessness and naivete about the world and country you live in and the people who populate it.

He's not a favorite to win but it's a lot closer than you seem to think.

The hilarious thing is that Hillary WILL deal with this issue and probably in a manner far more costly and forceful that optimal. And with a background and level of understanding that is far preferable to Trump's hot air and spitballing. Trump fans have somehow convinced themselves that Hillary isn't a hawk. Or more likely, just don't know anything about her other than what Trump tweets

Republicans in significant numbers will be staying home. I know some. How is he going to overcome that? Hillary has problems but Trump has huge unfavorable numbers.
