I mean I’m with you on this. Since 2016 the entire democratic platform has been moral high ground (lol) and making Trump the boogeyman and offering no concrete way forward because yes, in some to many ways the core Dem and GOP economic values are the exact same thing designed to keep poor people poor
And yes, McConnell would not be putting up with the Manchin Cinema even a little bit the way Cuck has been ‘handcuffed’ by it, and yes, Pelosi has achieved absolutely nothing other than tearing a sheet of paper but the reality of it is the progressive utopia isn’t happening and this nihilistic view that things should get worse before they get any better and that the time for compromise should be over is held by people who either:
A. Are too naive to know what things getting worse truly look like and/or
B. Know but are perfectly ok with it cuz it doesn’t affect them
Go back to 2016 and imagine your worst case scenario of where we’d be at today before day 1 of trump’s presidency and realize this is so much worse than any of us could have predicted. The nihilism associated with the mentality of ‘sure let’s let this happen again and you’ll come around this time!’ is just so pointless and will prove to be pretty catastrophic
