i'm pretty sure the new edition of Caro's Book of Tells has a separate chapter for when your opponent grabs both lapels of his jacket right before saying or doing something insanely stupid.

Everyone knew it was coming. President Kamala 2022 is still better than President Pence 2022.

I don't think you can refer to a group of people aged 65+ as bros.

Harris and Warren were the ones most talked about and Warren was never ever getting picked so Harris was the favorite the entire way. I wanted Duckworth just to see her obliterate Pence in the VP debate if they have one.

This probably makes you mad as well:

can't believe Liz blocked Bernie from winning and all she's going to get out of it is the first female VP, a liberal supreme court pick, expansion of the ACA, higher taxes for the wealthy, and a bill co-sponsored by Bernie that gives Americans 2k a month while Covid is going on.

I assume you mean "no likey" here. I just don't see what she brings. She's a fine debater, but assuming they happen, when is the last time someone on the fence said "That VP debate really pushed me over the edge".

She's basically a centrist, which I have to ideological issue with, but does nothing to balance Biden, and she's from CA, a state we don't have to worry about.

We knew we were getting a black woman here like 99% of the time, but other than speaking more clearly that Biden, what does she give us that he doesn't?

Over 50% of LGBTQ didn't vote last election (obv hazy stats), and black voter turnout was down 8% from 2012. I don't think Kamala is a centrist (or republican lol bros). She's been a progressive Senator who has fought for the marginalized. Kamala gets labeled a centrist because she was an AG/DA and didn't do anything to fight for kids who went into debt over schooling. Student debt and M4A are the loudest issues among those who label her a centrist, but we both know that there are way more issues at play here when determining where someone lies on the political spectrum.

It's not about gaining a higher percentage of Biden's base, it's about expanding it imo.

The only people who hate this pick are the ones who's voting record has always been shaky.

She's harder to rally against than most of the other options (Rice, Bass) but I'm not sure she's a stronger candidate than Abrams.

It's going to be a laugh to see Trump run as the only one who can restore "Lawr and Order" while shitting on a prosecutor tho.

I think Abrams might have been the stronger candidate, but I'm not sure she juices up the democratic base as much as Kamala. Had she run for senate, something that a lot of Dems hold against her, then I think her prospects will change.

But yeah I agree. Also the fact that they are touting her as a the "radical left" when the only real way to attack her is the things she did that are considered conservative. I guess her relationship with Willie Brown, but then you open up yourself to Trump's stuff.

[edit] This is what I mean by firing up the party:

This may be offensive, but Stacy Abrams was a little too far on the ugly side to be the president in 2022. She's probably considerably smarter than Kamala, but if she was better looking she could have banged some married guy 35 years older than her to get into office, like Kamala did.
