@Punkroc,

If Biden is a racist, why did he win by so much in that demographic despite:

- Bernie having a much larger campaign budget
- Bernie being being a civil-rights activist
- Bernie putting concentrated effort into the black vote prior to Super Tuesday
- The median age of black voters being adults when the crime bill was passed
- Bernie's campaign agenda being tailor made to for that demographic
- Lack of low-information voter demographicss

I'm not arguing who is/isn't racist, I don't think either of them are. I'm asking you why did black people vote for the more racist candidate in your opinion? Furthermore, and I may even be answering my own question, why do you think so many black voters have so much contempt for Bernie?

That said the state has the case now and hopefully they will do what the county hasn't been able to do.
County ME just ruled the death a homicide brought on by cardiopulmonary issues due to Police restraint.

Hopefully this is all they need.

Remember when there was a primary and one of the candidates said the whole system was broken and we need political revolution to change it all. Anyways i forgot how that whole primary went.

If you're interested Patrick Wyman and Mike Duncan did a fascinating episode of Tides of History back on April 23rd. It's on where America and the world are at with the pandemic specifically, but really a lot of it can be applied to what's going on now too. The focus is on historical/revolutionary change and how the pandemic is going to change everything going forward, with some talk on the stability of the United States in general.

Not saying America is going to fully collapse, but there are some really interesting things talked about that point out ways that our state is eroding. Things have only gotten far worse since April obviously. Give it a listen if you've got an hour.

If you actually look at polling data in the correct way (I thought you were the reading type after all) you'd see the that the issue w/Bernie wasn't the Black vote it was the Old vote. Millennial, and most Gen X are still in that camp and did vote that way, but the Old people + Corp Media pumping in billions of dollars in free coverage + Covid turned the tide. For just an example for reference if you have time watch the Vice special on Showtime Bernie Blackout.

Your bullet points are cute and all but, let's get to your real issue here...why do you care if I believe Biden is a racist...also re: bold, last time I checked being racist in America doesn't disqualify you to run or even win the presidency (see all republican presidents to one degree or another since Nixon).

There's a whole lot of good stuff written about the myth of electability, and how the establishment pounds that into the head of any black voter, which understandably would lead any population to either give up, or vote for the candidate that has this "electability"

Also, Obama and Biden did tons of clearly white supremacist things in office, but are you just going to say "how could a black person be racist against blacks?"

if you want to start thinking about compromises with abolitionists, we might be willing to listen to something like total civilian control, near total disarming of police, lifetime bans of anyone in the 40% of cops who beat their wives, cutting police budgets by 75%, and you can't be a cop in a municipality if you don't live there.

that's a fine place for y'all to start as your counter

I can't describe the level of peace I found in my jail cell. I am now living my values and relying only on my values to inform my actions. I am no longer so stuck on what people will think of my actions.

But this has only made it that much sweeter when I do get validation and support.

If we actually were put here on Earth by any kind of entity, I'm finally sure now that I'm doing what I was put on this Earth to do.

I defended my community, and then my community said, "Do you need a lawyer? We can give you one. Do you need food or anything else? We can bring you some."

I love everyone. Even anyone who thinks I'm wrong.

You can keep me on a bus with my hands restrained behind my back for hours. You can point an assault rifle at my head while I'm choking on tear gas and tell me to get on the ground as you call me [the gay slur] (they knew me from my flag). You can strip search me and look under my scrotum and inside my anus. But you have changed nothing about who I am or who I will be. You have not made me feel an ounce of shame.

I saw the march of 1000 people, 2/3 black, go past my window 15 minutes after curfew. I knew that the more bodies present, the safer everyone would be. Doubly so for extra white bodies. We can disagree on the necessity to challenge the curfew. We can't talk it out with such a wide gap on books read and experiences lived. But I also knew that many marchers were not even aware of the curfew.

On the march I held my rainbow flag with the giant POC solidarity fist. It seemed like the majority of white marchers were queer and trans.

I accepted that my likely end result was arrest. The pig strategy was to use tear gas at intersections and turns to divde and conquer.

The riot squad advanced on us shooting tear gas when we stopped, and it became clear that mass arrests were inevitable. We put as many white bodies to the front as possible. We stood our ground as we allowed hundreds to escape behind us. I stood front and center holding my flag.

233 mostly white people were arrested that night.

I don't think we know what it's going to look like by the end of today let alone by next week.

Just got finished listening to Biden's speech this morning. Pretty standard for the most part but what caught me was this part:

"Health care should be a basic human right...lets expand Obamacare and cover everyone..."

WHAT!!!

Joe if your going to lie to the people can you at least be a little more slick about it...we all know you're anti M4A which would be the way to assure all Americans get health care and we know your plans for expanding Obamacare would still leave 10 - 20 million people without Health Insurance not including people that are unemployed.
