Under-45 black people were at 60-21 Bernie-Biden in South Carolina

Never underestimate the power of an entire generation getting everything from TV, compared to the younger people getting things more unfiltered or at least criticized through the internet

Plus, people do not have time all day every day to analyze politics.

Black people also have zero reason to trust any white person with any power. Why not, if you're going to pick a white candidate out of the forest of white candidates, just go with the one the only black President said was a good decent guy he could work with

Obama did a huge amount of damage that he gets let off the hook for. This is just one more piece of that

I mean don't pretend a majority of us didn't think Biden was a decent human being, kinda middle of the road everyman, until sometime after Obama left office.

The things that changed our mind sure as hell did not come from TV news

Voters of EVERY race under 45 made up only 29% of the entire turnout in South Carolina. Never underestimate the power of not giving enough of a **** to show up.

Obviously we disagree about what can be said of those who don't vote

Prepare for the lowest voter turnout % ever.

He was billed as the moderate to keep OBama in check on the ticket. I don't personally think VP every really matters, but he was just decoration forever. Now **** is real.

I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to vote in Canada, but voter suppression works. When you make it 3 hours to vote if you're young/poor, how many people have that time?

Takeaways from last few weeks:
Make it easier to vote
Don't watch cable news (either "side")

Nothing in the primary process should give you that impression. Voter turnout is smashing records nearly everywhere.

This is dome's prediction not mine, but the pathetic turnout among the young when bernie still has a chance could absolutely give one that impression.

Where Sanders won 62%-32% among the 38% of voters under the age of 45, Biden won voters over that age 65%-24%. And those older voters made up nearly two-thirds of the electorate this time, compared to just over half in 2016.
YOUNGS

Those older votes are more motivated than 2016 though so maybe RT is right:

Quote:
This year, according to the most recent data compiled from the counties by the Michigan Secretary of State's Office, Biden won 54% of the overall vote in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties, which was actually 1% less than that posted by Clinton four years ago.

But Biden did so while Sanders' total percentage in those counties fell from 43% to 35%, as there were more names on the ballot of a dozen candidates who have already dropped out of the race. And Biden's percentage was worth far more: With 146,261 more voters in the three counties voting in the Democratic primary this year, an increase of 26%, Biden got almost 74,000 more votes out of metro Detroit than Clinton did.
What a debacle, Bernie somehow losing in every county, including the ones with big college populations.

Moderates, black voters, college educated women, and Olds are turning out in record numbers so far (lolIowa caucuses aside). Those blocs, especially Olds, are extremely reliable come November.

Probably completely unrelated Trumps odds have hit their shortest last night at -120 down from -160 just a week ago.

The sky is falling tho.

The thought of beating Trump is driving Democrats to the polls. It is the #1 issue by a large margin.

In literally every state, and barring (awesome) catastrophe, Trump is still going to be president in November, so turnout is still going to be high, unless 72 gets his way and our base all dies in July.

Merkel is out there bluntly saying 60-70% of GERMANY may be infected

Trump is out here spinning for optics with 5 people per million actually being tested

We’re still ludicrously unprepared and under-tested. This is where the chickens come home to roost on a pathological liar who spent his whole life 100% focusing on brand and 0% on substance

Trump’s only chance at remaining president is a state of emergency cancelling the election

or, you know, voter suppression. 3 hour wait lines at every college campus and urban voting center. it's like you guys have never done this before.

3 hour lines won't be nearly enough to save him. There are crowds of people waiting 3+ hours right now in the Democrat primaries. When they actually get to vote directly against Trump people will wait in line for days if necessary.

I'm not packing 2 lunches to vote for president Kamala. Maybe some cashews and a bottle of water, but once that's gone I'm out. Trump wins.

Whenever I read **** like this I always assume the poster is either:

1) a Trump voter pretending
Or
2) Chads pouting

If you're anywhere from center-right to left leaning your life will be better under Biden than Trump in almost every way. It's only a hard choice if you're trying to impress people on Twitter.

RT, nobody here thinks Trump>Biden.

people want real change. this country was broken even before Trump got elected. Now the Democrats have nominated someone whose entire platform is "I'm not Trump." So don't act surprised when people stop giving a ****.
