Sometimes not everything is completely literal. The context and ultimate motivations of the actors involved is dead-on accurate.

Ultimately Trump is being tried by a jury of his partners in crime. That's far and away the key takeaway. It's not nearly as complicated as you're making it out to be. Don't get hung up on every detail.

And if you really want the home girls are the first jury. Most people realize there is a House and a Senate and a lot of them realize one is controlled by the dems and one by the Rs.
