Hold on, what’s that, she’s EXPERIENCED? Well that won’t do.
Way to assume everything incorrect about my post. You have a real knack for that.

Yes, but only if the Democrats take the senate as well.

Don't want to deal with President Grassley if something happens to both Trump and Pence.

Trying to appease undecided voters is a dumb strategy.

Rally the base, don’t attack/demean prominent Democrats unless they Franken or Ellison someone.

It’s a good thing Senate races aren’t susceptible to gerrymandering; the Democrats should kill it with their massive favorability over Republicans. I’m more concerned about Democrats taking back the House, given the huge gerrymandering issue.

What’s confusing? Gerrymandering is a huge issue, but at least Senate seats are gerrymander-proof.

Democrats are 86% to take the House and only 19% to take the Senate, according to 538. Other sites have other numbers, but generally, Democrats are big favorites to take the House and huge dogs to take the Senate.

Gerrymandering is indeed an issue for the House, but your conclusions do not follow.

Hang on, you’re saying the Democrats are losing the races where gerrymandering isn’t a factor and winning the races where gerrymandering is an issue?

How does that make sense?

Lol at the senate not being gerrymandered.

People in Wyoming have like 50x more senate representation than people in California.

The original sin of appeasing rural white male racists has ruined this POS country since it’s founding.

Lets stop this nonsense. The reason the Dems have such a low probability to win the Senate as compared to the House is because of the Senate map this year.

2020 isn't much better than this year. Most states are hard one way or another at this point, so keeping the D incumbents in places that have almost all R people now is huge for them. (ie, no way WV/MT/ND/IN and probably MO would have any reasonable shot this year if they didn't have an incumbent)

If nothing else, a Lieu speakership would finally light a fire underneath some asses and convince them finally to properly define what “natural born citizen” means.

I get where you’re coming from but I mean, it takes money to win elections, lots of it. This has always been the case but even more so in a post-Citizens United world. No amount of progressive purity testing will change that.

Big money on the right wants a Constitutional Convention. The last count I saw we were up to 28 GOP-controlled state legislatures voting for it, I believe WI was the most recent. You can google their list of priorities but near the top of that list is the repeal of the 17th Amendment. If they get that the Senate will be effectively gerrymandered whether or not we believe that is the case now.

Anyone interested in contributing to the blue wave should pop in my thread about textig voters: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/4...oters-1725318/

Also here's a list of lesser known races you can contribute to: http://idlewords.com/2018/10/portrait_of_a_campaign.htm

They're all longer shots but still winnable. Lesser known so not as much money which means your dollar goes further.

It doesn't take big money anymore, times have changed just like times changed from newspaper to radio to TV. Now, it takes big social media presence which can go viral for pennies on the dollar as opposed to previous mediums. Learning how to capitalize on that is the way going forward.

Trump proved that over Hillary last election, same way democrats should not be considering Pelosi to be some fund-raising goddess over more likable candidates in their party. That also means the $100 million (and counting) that Trump has already raised towards his 2020 election bid is vulnerable, but democrats need to stop thinking old-school.
