There's a clear difference between who Repubs can elect and who Dems can elect. That's obvious.

It may be immaterial because of increase Blue turnout, and we'll know that after Nov., but there's no reason to pick Warren right now if you can get someone with less baggage and who galvanizes some moderates against them.

It's never been about turning off his voters, they still support him 90-10. It's about keeping certain moderates from voting. Dems are very likely already going to turn out huge in 2018 and 2020.

People have this goofy idea that America is basically 50-50 Dem-Repub and we just have to turn out the blue votes and we're good. It's not divided so cleanly. There are a lot more people that vote Red this year and Blue the next than people are willing to admit for whatever reason.
