A 16 year old girl held in the facility had to take care of a 4-year old she didn't know for 3 days. The kids had to teach other how to change her diaper.

most popular among dumb, white, male Republicans

I know this isn't an entirely new concept, but stolen SC justices notwithstanding, the shift so far away from the Middle Ground is probably Trump's lagacy.

Trump and Co. seem to be the first people in American politics to fully run with the idea that if you make your side tribal enough, you can force the argument away from "More or Less immigration" and towards "More immigration or Imprisioning 4 year olds in concentration camps".

It removes the chance for meaningful debate and compromise and allows one side of paint the other as stubborn for not compromising their values.
