Imagine a crisis scenario where all rules are off and we can instantly insert any American as President regardless of eligibility to serve in that office. Any argument that Obama isn't the #1 choice on that list is insanity. Pretty sure Biden comes in at #2 at this point too (doesn't mean he's a good candidate in 2020 though).

My track record as fantasy football commissioner and running drafts in SE makes me pretty confident id be a better President than Obama. Not joking at all. Im a world class decision maker.

And Obama made plenty of bad decisions. He was overall a pretty massive failure and disappointment as President. I dont blame him for not being able to do anything once Republicans took over congress, but I blame him for his failures before that happened, which played a big part in it happening.

The answer is tens of thousands of people weve never heard of who have never had any desire to get invovled with Politics. That alone gives them sick decision making credentials and good human being credentials.

Damodaran had some explainers on this (cant link but google aswathdamodaran blog, its the first post). I'm guessing IBM had that 12% tax rate due to deducting interest expense which the new bill caps, or had some other deductions that are no longer.

Yea sure. Every couple years or so both sides go through this charade that they might shut it down and there's always an 11th hour deal. I thought Pelosi(a disgrace to Italian people) said the people that want to shut down the government are "arsonists" and "hostage takers". I'm sure it's different this time though.

a bunch of intelligent people arguing about whether it matters whether the stock market is slightly more or less up over the span of a year (doesn't matter at all) compared to how it would have been under a different president (this is a clownshow distraction) is part of why we are all ****ed.
