The House can freeze the agenda since bills must pass both House and Senate to become law.
The real problem is that with 51 votes in the Senate, Trump can confirm any and all federal judges he wants, including a likely vacancy in our Supreme Court. The next judge likely to retire is a centrist, so letting Trump replace him with another Gorsuch-esque Looney, we're in bad shape for the next 40 years.
not sure if you saw this news yesterday, but the Senate Judiciary Committee actually pushed back against the 2 recent clowns Trump nominated to be judges. The nominees then withdrew.
there is some hope. guys like Flake and Corker announcing planned retirements really hurts Trump, on paper anyways. they are free to do whatever they want without worrying about donors or voters pulling support. not sure if this factored in or not, but Flake is on the committee. pretty sure with 9 Dems and 11 Reps, Flake (or any R) yields a ton of power there as a 10-10 vote fails.
that's not to say he's gonna vote no on classic Gorsuch / conservative types.
