Another takeaway that he harps on at the beginning is how stupid some of the leaders were (he goes particularly hard at Wilhelm) and how that stupidity was incredibly dangerous once **** started hitting the fan. Gee, that's comforting.
I agree, that 1st one talking about how WWI started was really fascinating.

Destroyer of Worlds, a 6-hour podcast all about the history of nuclear weapons.
Really makes me think a nuclear apocalypse within my lifetime is inevitable.
