Obama probably would have been north of 400 electoral votes in 16

Dont think at all Trump beats Obama. Shillary was just an awful candidate.

Plus after eight years usually swings back to the other party afaik.

JFC the GOP nominated and elected Donald ****ing Trump. The burden of proof is not on liberals to prove there is a massive racism problem.

So you and your bros spite voted against liberals instead of being adults and voting on policies you think are good for society.

This is something to be ashamed of.

It's one thing to wrongly think conservative policy is good and an entirely different thing to ignore policy all together and instead vote to harm people you hate or were mean to you once. Maybe grow thicker skin and try to be a better person. There are people whose lives depend on healthcare and other services and you'd rather spend your vote sticking it to smug liberals. Evil behavior.

This is probably the best, most reasonable post I've seen from someone that (I'm assuming) leans left. The reason that so many (ie not all) right wingers are going farther right isn't Trump, it's the fact that they're getting blasted for being on the right and for their life experiences.

So, ya, I think woody is spot on here.
Sounds like maybe you need a safe space? Like people should be more politically correct around you?

There are many social stances that I'm right on, part because of my upbringing that could possibly be changed and part that are based off of information gather throughout my life that will never be changed.

Most non social issues I'm on the right about. Those aren't changing any time soon.

My favorite part of the last year+ is sitting back and watching how people's view points are established and possibly changed. The posts ITT sum up why the Democrats lost and why they will lose again if their message isn't changed. They are pushing away the people that would have won them the election and yet continue to make the same mistakes.
Area man who agrees with Republicans on most issues and says his mind cannot be changed about them finds Democrats unpersuasive.

ya it is truly detestable. and even worse he is actually proud of such a viewpoint and behavior. absolutely proud that he actively avoids becoming better acquainted with issues and policies and continues to avoid anything that would increase his intelligence.

then he has the audacity to lecture us on how he should be treated as if he would ever change his vote. as if he, and his anti-intellectualism is actually worthy of being catered to.

the height of being cravenly despicable and pomposity.

where did I once say I based a vote on what the media or Hilary did?

where did I once say any of these people are my bros?

where did I imply that I have not educated myself before coming to the conclusions I've come to on the issues I lean right on?

In an interview Saturday night in Toledo, Ohio, with The Associated Press, Samantha Bloom said of her son James Alex Fields Jr., "I just knew he was going to a rally. I mean, I try to stay out of his political views. You know, we don't, you know, I don't really get too involved, I moved him out to his own apartment, so we -- I'm watching his cat."

Bloom was informed by The AP reporter that the rally was indeed organized by white nationalists. "I thought it had something to do with Trump. Trump's not a white supremacist," she said.

"He had an African-American friend so ...," she said before her voice trailed off.

Are you mad that they elected Trump, or mad that Trump won the presidency? The GOP was trying to give the election away.

I'm hearing there will be an alt-right rally in Boston on August 19. Doesn't seem like the demographic they should be seeking.

Yeah this is a pretty asinine post. No one ever said to stray from being on the correct side. The entire ****ing point is to show why the correct side is correct. To appeal to it. To let the correctness do the arguing for you and stop with the petty bull**** to appease your ego and feels.

We live in a setting so toxic and polarized that it is actually a reverse freeroll for the president of the United States to denounce literally white supremacy

I mean no matter what the damage is done. White nationalism will be THE third party and the strongest of them
