WSJ super butthurt about it. "How can you say we have to consider race in redistricting then complain when we consider race in redistricting to **** over black people!?!"

And **** the WSJ. They bitched about the special counsel, think Trump is generally awesome and just can't understand why libs don't give him a chance. GTFO.

The idea that there is an intellectually legitimate basis for the current GOP is very dangerous. On literally everything, actual Reagan conservatives, who were wrong on everything to begin with, are nowhere to be found. We are left with absolute nut jobs.

If you have no beliefs that help anyone beyond corporations/the extremely rich, are you even a political party, or just a hate group?

Virtually all the good men and women in this party’s leadership have been purged or silenced; those who are left have either been bought off by lobbies or have cynically decided to take a ride on Trump’s Good Ship Lollipop to exploit it for any number of different agendas.

It has not been without costs. Trump has made every person in his orbit look like either a “liar or a fool,” as David Axelrod put it. So call off the search. There will be no GOP mutiny, even if Trump resembles Captain Queeg more each day.

That’s why the only relevant question is this: Are there tens of millions of good men and women in America ready to run and vote as Democrats or independents in the 2018 congressional elections and replace the current GOP majority in the House and maybe the Senate?

Nothing else matters — this is now a raw contest of power.

There's this thing on Twitter where "conservatives" who aren't brainwashed by Trump get together and suck Reagan's dick, with seemingly no awareness of how a fair chunk of their problems with Trump were Reagan staples

It's great

CBO score is out.

https://www.cbo.gov/publication/52752

Quote:
CBO and the staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) have completed an estimate of the direct spending and revenue effects of H.R. 1628, the American Health Care Act of 2017, as passed by the House of Representatives. CBO and JCT estimate that enacting that version of H.R. 1628 would reduce the cumulative federal deficit over the 2017-2026 period by $119 billion. That amount is $32 billion less than the estimated net savings for the version of H.R. 1628 that was posted on the website of the House Committee on Rules on March 22, 2017, incorporating manager’s amendments 4, 5, 24, and 25. (CBO issued a cost estimate for that earlier version of the legislation on March 23, 2017.)
Quote:
CBO and JCT estimate that, in 2018, 14 million more people would be uninsured under H.R. 1628 than under current law. The increase in the number of uninsured people relative to the number projected under current law would reach 19 million in 2020 and 23 million in 2026. In 2026, an estimated 51 million people under age 65 would be uninsured, compared with 28 million who would lack insurance that year under current law. Under the legislation, a few million of those people would use tax credits to purchase policies that would not cover major medical risks.

AG Sessions now accused of lying about Russian meetings to get security clearance. This still doesn't seem likely to get Trump, but he's going to lose half his cabinet.

boy is that first sentence fake news. It's a form you're supposed to fill out everything you ever did as part of the clearance process; and he didn't put them on there, but he was told not to put whatever he did as a senator on there from that article so he didn't.

The narratives/headlines vs what's in the articles differences are absolutely wild today.

Anyway, the guy quist is running against bodyslammed I believe a guardian reporter.
The election is tomorrow. Should get a sweet executive branch position if he doesn't win now.

No, he says he wasn't, but the FBI agent that he said told him that (nor anyone from the FBI) hasn't verified it and it's in keeping with just about everyone else that has been brought up thus far.

You don't have to disclose meetings if you have them in your capacity as a Senator at a conference or something, but you absolutely have to include private dealings outside of congressional functions and it looks like he failed to do that.

And that stupid ****er is probably still going to win because the Dems did literally nothing for their candidate in Montana

Hey Hoya,

Just read that the CBO found the lolhealthcare Bill would decrease deficits over 10 years, mostly by telling the poor to **** themselves.

Ignoring how evil this plan is, that fact makes the AHCA eligible to be passed in the Senate as a reconciliation Bill doesn't it?

We're 51 votes from midnight if so, although the Senate still probably can't muster the votes even with the lower threshold.

Seems pretty irrelevant to the situation tbh. Don't think psycho Gianforte was thinking about that when he was assaulting someone
