We're on the same side here, but der markt only has odds for impeachment at 28% right now (not sure if that means removal or just literally indictment). I also think it's highly likely that this takes us into and past the 2018 midterms. If that happens, and if Pence is implicated, removal odds are effectively zero as if the Dems control the house, it isn't happening.

Edit: obviously happy to include resignation in the bet at any point because Lolololol Trump ever quitting. Nixon had pride to protect, Trump has no such burden

I feel like, again, you might just be parsing words. if he is about to be impeached but resigns first, has he been "removed"? does it matter how he leaves office? (ok, if he chokes on a piece of steak he forgot to cut and dies that's different, but otherwise...)

all the odds have (and have had) Trump at close to even money to finish his term. its gone closer to "won't finish term" in recent days but it's been fairly close to even for a while now. negotiating odds shouldn't be a big hang up here. Paddy Power has Trump as a small favorite to not finish his term.

I don't want to keep derailing the thread but I'd say right now Trump is 2 to 1 in favor of finishing his first term (death in office=push).

I just don't see him resigning under any circumstances, it's just not in his nature to admit defeat on that scale and I think he's basically got a 1 in 3 chance to be removed from office prior to the 2020 election.

I was asking Holliday to lay me odds, even though I actually think I should be giving him odds, because he responded so strongly to my take.

Edit: ****ing thrilled if I'm wrong here and happy to take all the lolz once Trump gets ridden out on a rail, just preaching tempering optimism.
