Booker 2020 is a great analogy to hillary 2016 and god help us all if dems see a "progressive black guy" and hand him the nom.
to be fair Booker did work on a new bill with bernie on that issue and it's a better one than the previous one and he's supporting it.

We have to be better than "OMG PERSON VOTED AGAINST THE PATRIOT ACT BECAUSE HE'S NOT A PATRIOT" level of idiocy that works in politics.

Look, The DNC sucks, that's why it's so hard to support them despite what the other side is. Some people just don't wanna admit that. The fact is there wasn't a single good candidate running for president in the last election. It all sucks.

"This bill doesn't go far enough..." (and therefore I do not support it) has been a losing argument for long enough. Especially when coming from the dude who has gotten more money than (basically?) every other D from big pharma.

It's transparent and it's sad. Won't lose any sleep if he gets primaried.

South Korea elected the liberal candidate who wants to open up talks with North Korea again. I think I'd rather have him in Un's ear than Trump tbh.

And just FYI the N Korea policy got very little play here, domestically. Way more about breaking up the conglomerates, stemming corruption, and improving the economy. Politics is local still 99% of the time. I know N Korea S Korea is more local foreign policy than most, but still...

I know nothing about this guy but if he did actually write a bill that goes further and is now supporting it as wheatrich says doesn't he get a pass?

Not if you assume he's using this 'new bill' solely as cover and doesn't want either to pass.

Jeff Sessions reviewing whether to undo Obama DOJ rule encouraging less severe prosecution of drug crimes

Quote:
If new charging instructions are implemented, it would mark the first significant move by the Trump administration to bring back the drug war’s toughest practices — methods that had fallen out of favor in recent years as critics pointed to damaging effects of mass incarceration.
But Hillary said "superpredators" 20 years ago you guys

The Trump camp's strategy from the get-go was to demoralize and demotivate as much of the black vote as possible. They knew they weren't actually getting any votes from them en masse. But getting some to stay home is also a win.

not by misinformation republican shills like thayer. ppl like him will continue to point out every single misstep or contrived misstep by anyone in the democratic party as a way to drive down support so that the republicans can continue to institute the hateful policy that they subscribe to.

It does make perfect sense if you actually want things to become good and not less bad.

Wouldn't vote for anyone from CT except for Lieberman and I guess he's probably too old at this point.

Booker 100%
Chelsea 70%
Warren 0%

D Trump - 0 chance he runs again
E Trump - wouldn't
I Trump - possibly
Bush - no
Cassidy - 75%

You keep making weird and completely incorrect and delusional assumptions of people who are critical of the Democratic Party.

by the time this "perfect" candidate and dem policy that you agree with gets promoted we wont have a democratic country left.

like, have you seen the disgusting policy changes that are being instituted by the republicans right now?

if hillary was president, then we would still have health care, the epa would still be intact and companies would not be able to destroy our fields and streams, the war on drugs would not be returning, marijuana would not be prosecuted fully the feds, communities and families would not be torn apart by capricious attacks and deportations on innocent immigrants, private prisons would not be increasing.

thats just from memory.

so no, just bc its not perfect does mean that you should support the republicans. and realize, that for ppl like thayer, nothing is perfect, and he will always find a way to attack the dems and attempt to demoralize support.
