Tonight might get fun. There are pro-confederate statue demonstrations going on at Lee Circle, which as you might guess is a traffic circle with a statue of Robert E Lee atop a big column. Elsewhere, a large march of local anti-monuments people are slowly making their way toward Lee Circle for a counter demonstration.

Lee Circle is 3 blocks from my apartment and helicopters have been circling all day. I'll let you all know if **** gets real tonight.

I imagine they're very outnumbered. Police have the two demonstrations separated and I doubt anything happens. NOPD is useless at a lot of things but crowd control ain't one of them.
