Also, if the House passes this, the Senate will never vote on this exact bill.
They'll vote on their own version then go to a conference committee. The politics might change to get more GOP yes votes once they actually get close to passing something. Better to nip it in the bud.

Well it's obvious if some terrible bill passed here and ****s everything up it's only because "it all started with Obamacare ruining healthcare", "we're doing our best but Obamacare is hard to correct" and "you're dead because of Obama."

ya there's like no way the morans blame the right ppl if an awful bill like this passes and then "fails"

Yeah, the bill not passing is definitely the best outcome

It accomplishes the "make them look bad" without risking an insane, horrible, deadly law coming to fruition

And even if it doesn't accomplish that, at least it saves lives by failing

Trumpfans didn't realize Obamacare was the ACA. Anything bad that happens will be Obamacare, anything good Trumpcare.

This is precisely what I think the GOP plan is.

Yep. Think of Obama at the end of his term. I remember him giving some emotional and IMO exceptional speeches where he'd talk about how he wasn't able to do much with gun control because of Congress. He wasn't really whining, more like "this is what it is, but don't forget about this issue. Do whatever you can if you believe in it." (obv paraphrasing) I guarantee you huge chunks of Repubs are slavering in anticipation of this not being passed so they can gloat with the "I told you so, Democrats don't want to get anything done, we are looking out for Joe Lunchbox not them, and God and The Bible."

Trump has shied away from the "Trumpcare" label, right? He's not the kind of person who wants to be attached to anything unless it has already been deemed successful (or at least partly successful, so he can pick and choose being responsible for those parts). But that's simply because he is not a strong man. He is a man made of dead leaves and still scared of his shadow.

Even if that was correct 80% of the time, 20% chances come in 20% of the time. So your post incorrectly assumes that the Democratic Party is 1. competent enough to capitalize on this bill passing the House but not the Senate and that 2. the chances of it passing the Senate are 0%. Even a 1% chance of this bill becoming law isn't worth whatever +EV political capital you think the Democrats will score(and they probably won't) the other 99% of the time.
Just want to echo this, because it's exactly the analogy that's been going through my mind.

And it'll be coupled with outlawing abortions after they stack the Supreme Court

Get pregnant and go bankrupt...that'll be the American Way
