-He never bet on baseball, or any other sport,
-He didn't know that Ippei lied to him, and that Ippei took the money from Shohei's account to pay his gambling debts
-He'll continue to cooperate with the investigation, and play as the investigation plays out.

If all that's true, then this is probably the best possible outcome for his reputation going forward. He's a naive star athlete who trusted the wrong person. It happens.

I voted someone else last year. Still surreal to say World Series champion Texas Rangers.

I'm on the Orioles +1400 and Phillies +1200 for my season long sweats for a hundo each. Would gladly eat those bets for a back-to-back Rangers win.

Leaving Wednesday for Vegas. Trip built around Sweet 16/Elite 8, but a nice bonus opening day is Thursday. As a double bonus the UFL kicks off over the weekend and there are a ton of late season NHL games.

Lol we got rained out. How does that happen in a building with a roof that can close in 3 minutes? The Dbacks and Maricopa County need to figure their **** out.

My tickets for tonight were only $8 each so I'm not worried about that. But this is the 3rd season in a row they've had this roof issue and it's ridiculous.

One of the best features of this park was the retractable roof. Opens and closes in something like 3 minutes. In the middle of the summer they could start the game with the roof closed and the AC pumping. Then after the 5th inning or whatever they'd open it and it would be a great night.

Now they have safety issues with the cables so they can't open or close the roof while the gates are open to the public. The Dbacks think the county should pay for it, the county thinks the Dbacks are exaggerating the need for repairs. In the end, the ec_outlaws get rained on.

A World Series team with a retractable roof that doesn't work. Sigh. But hey, we have new flashy lights that go off after a homerun. That's something I guess.

This rainout in Arizona story made me wonder wether they even have tarps in domes or retractable roof stadiums. Like, if there's a roof issue in Arizona or Miami, is it an immediate rainout because they can't cover up the infield?

I actually like the Mariners chances.

I can't say I've ever seen a full size tarp at Chase Field, but I've never looked for one either. I know they have smaller tarps to cover the mound and the home plate area, but I'm thinking there's no full size one ready to roll if needed. I did just read it was the first rainout in Chase Field history.

Thanks for the reminder. I usually get it for free for being a season ticket holder but I haven't seen any mention of that this year so I just reached out to my rep. What sucks is ever since Bally went bankrupt last year, MLB has been carrying my games. Of course, they're blacked out on MLB.tv unless I buy the single team package for like $100. It shouldn't be so difficult or expensive to watch your home town team play. I'm sure I'll pay the $100 but I don't have to be happy about it.

Now that Jordan Montgomery is off the market Scott Boras is done for this off-season.

He had 5 of the top 10 free agents under contract. All of them together got roughly the same amount of guaranteed money as Yoshinobu Yamamoto alone.

Mets opening day rained out, harbinger of how shitty their season will be. Also, it's great that Oakland and Tampa Bay fans and ownership get rewarded with opening day at home due to their loyalty to their communities.

I’m off Thursday, working Friday… and OF COURSE the Braves/Phillies gets postponed to Friday.

Either way… I fully intend to sweat my fantasy rooting interests for 12 hours of baseball tomorrow!
