What does that even mean? Final election results don't need to fully tallied in one day. If they are postmarked prior to election day, or whatever the cutoff is, they count.imo.

Yeah thats an odd notification. We've always got votes counted late. Only thing is that because of the expected volume this year it's largely to be a larger issue in some states

Nate Silver @NateSilver538

I'm not sure whether people are too worried or not worried enough about the post office stuff. But it's the sort of thing where the more that people are worried, the less need there may need to be to worry, and vice versa, if that makes any sense.

i am also a huge dumbass, can i have millions of dollars to write nonsense?

The electoral college votes Dec 14th, states have to certify their votes 6 days prior. For an absentee vote to be eligible, it has to be postmarked by election day, Nov. 3rd.

It seems hard to believe they won't be able to get ballots delivered within a few weeks time (counting takes a couple days at most).

None of this excuses Trump's USPS ****ery, but this seems more like a cautionary letter than a serious threat unless there's something I'm missing. Losing some machines will certainly slow the process down a bit, but we aren't likely to see 50% of the electorate VBM I wouldn't think.

I'd take Nader>Gore>Bush>Aoc>Hillary

But for a super smart guy he did something really dumb in 2000. Hillary was even dumber in 2016 though.

What ****ing year and country is this, with this **** again? I'll hopefully have some hot takes to post again by midnight. Power was pre-turned at my parents place last year for a week as a wildfire precaution. I hate to say it, but Trump may be right that Pelosi and California are garbage.

I'm currently in NoCal not Austin.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — California's largest utility warned of a second round of rolling power outages Saturday as a heat wave baking California in triple-digit temperatures continues to strain the electrical system.

Pacific Gas & Electric, which provides electricity to approximately 16 million people in northern and central California, said the blackouts were possible between 5 and 10 p.m., but a final decision will be made later in the day by the California Independent System Operator (California ISO), which manages the power grid.

PG&E are a terrible company that have caused tons of death and destruction. yet another example of capitalism run amok. Pelosi is certainly not any worse than Trump and the Repubs when it comes to privatizing utilities that siphon tons of money from the citizenry while giving terrible and dangerous service.

Yeah that makes sense. It was pretty weak of him to raise a stink about it to begin with.

AOC I don't get, there are plenty of other more qualified freshmen that have actually made legislative ground that didn't get a single second, Lauren Underwood/Deb Haaland/Sharice Davids/Charles Booker are all young freshman with better records, with the latter imo deserving of a slot for almost beating McGrath despite all the obstacles.
Booker is a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives.
