Attempting to criminalize possession of firearms while the 2nd Amendment remains is not going to work.
Abortion is constitutionally protected but that doesn't stop Republicans from fighting tooth and nail every day to make abortion practically illegal. There's no reason democrats couldn't do the same thing for guns.

If the Democrats gain control of the House or the Senate in 2018, they need to do with Gun Control what Republicans did with Repealing Obamacare. Keep proposing legislation, bringing it to committee, having hearings, etc. Force those *******s to vote against common sense gun regulation over and over and over until it's 100% of their voting record from 2018-2020.

Guns are not as big a slam dunk for Democrats as healthcare and taxing the rich. They would not have overwhelming support of their base to repeal the 2nd Amendment.

Im not even sure it'd be popular with Democrats, let alone the voting population.

I agree with you guys and would love to see it though. Lolguns.

In a way Democrats are better off doing nothing about guns and remaining able to blame Republicans every time shootings happen. Small price to pay in the long run.

I'm sure it would not be. Toxic to any republican and dems who disagree would even cross party lines to vote against it--hell, probably even some who agree with it would cross party lines to vote against it in order to make republicans *feel* better.

Honestly, would never even make it out of committee and would probably cause a huge wave of "blue dog democrats" to re-emerge as huge champions of gun rights (only to get themselves destroyed by republicans in subsequent elections for being in the party of gun-taker-awayers).

As always, would be a huge boon for gun sales though.

No way. Probably, collectively, as selfish and dumb economically, but we are as a generation far more empathetic and just better human beings.

Almost forgot this one...the biggest one of all.

Everybody last night and the.day before asking for 45 to take action but look guys he already has...to the tune of 30.3 million dollars direct from the NRA itself.

Footnote to that is Romney announced today he is going to run for the Utah US Senate seat this year. First question should be in light of the massacre that took place in FL this week how much $$$ do you expect to be recieving from the NRA to support your campaign?

Ho Hum, just another 13 indictments (14?)

Steve Bannon was right about one thing: Mueller is going to crack them like eggs. Gotta think Don Jr. Is next up given the clear focus on Russian interference and his obvious, easily probable collusion.

Reminder that DACA recipients had legal protection until Trump took it away from them to use them as hostages for all sorts of immigration restrictions he wants, and that 54 senators voted for a compromise yesterday that failed (needed 60) because only 8 Republicans voted for it

GJGE media on this one, literal NYT headine: "Democrats block DACA deal." It's all so infuriating.

Still don't think it pierces the deplorables' media bubble though
