For the 5 of us who post NHL stuff, here you go. Officially the season starts Tuesday October 11, although there were two games that counted played in the Czech Republic last week (Predators are 2-0-0, lolSharks 0-0-2). So here we go....

DEFENDING CHAMPS:

Colorado Avalanche

This stat greatly aided their Stanley Cup victory and I'm sure all of the penalties called on their opponents were legit and not due to diving:

Nice writeup 702,

Hard to believe it's back, pretty happy though, I am a massive Jays fan, so after Saturday's debacle, will be glad to have hockey as a welcome distraction.

West, Avs,

East, Canes,

Cup winner, Carolina

Hmmm, for a second there was no board advertising. So there's no real advertising in the arena, or they replace it on TV?

The Kings give away pucks and can never clear the zone again.

That sucks for LA fans, it will sap the team.

My favorite part was when the Kings D-man held the puck behind his own net for 30 seconds, then attempted a 150-foot pass, which of course failed and Vegas scored 10 seconds later. ****ing clowns.
