Pretty interesting dilemma for me in B League going into MNF.

All the games are decided except my matchup vs Cald where he remains a 12pt projected favourite. He's up by 33 with Vinateri vs my Luck/Powell. So if he wins the final standings, with my own rankings given in brackets, would be:

1. Buttigers (5)
2. Moocher (4)
3. Sven (6)
4. Monte (1)
5. Cald (2)
6. Rafbone (3)

Meaning that I'd play the winner of Sven/Rafbone in the semifinals. Given that Monte/Cald have the best teams this seems like a great result for TeamMoocher. However if I win tonight the final standings would be:

1. Moocher (4)
2. Buttigers (5)
3. Sven (6)
4. Monte (1)
5. Rafbone (2)
6. SRM (3)

So I would end up playing the winner of Rafbone/Monte which doesn't fill me with confidence.

The worst case scenario is that I still lose my matchup tonight but make up the 34pts that I'm behind buttigers with my Luck/Powell vs his Hilton which would leave the standings at:

2. Buttigers (5)

Leaving me with the winner or Monte/Cald, the worst of all the worlds.

Therefore I think the only prudent thing for me to do is to bench Andrew Luck tonight and thus lock up the best case scenario. SRM, I understand that this will come as something of a disappointment however if you miss the playoffs as a result of this decision AND I win the league then I'll ship you your buy-in back.

The right team will be getting in the playoffs over the points leader - me.
