If you want to adjust scoring for QBs down it should be done through lowering the value of TDs to 4 not decreasing the value of yards. There is a reason passing TDs are 4 in most scoring systems.

I'm fine adding a QB flex but not fine with going to 50 pass yards=1 point

I actually now agree that 50 yards per point is too punitive. However i also think that 25 yards per point is too much. A 250 yard passing game is much more common than a 100 yard rushing or receiving game. They shouldnt both be 10 points.

I think theres a happy medium somewhere around 35 yards per point. Ill do some research on it and report back.

Last year yardage

Passing
250 = 263 games
300 = 118 games
350 = 46 games

Rushing
100 = 96 games

Receiving
100 = 186 games

So a QB hit 250 yards 2.74 times more often than a RB hit 100 and that will just continue to trend pro qb.

Think 25 yards per point is dumb and antiquated and is only the standard bc fantasy football was invented in the 80s or w.e when teams never passed.

Im not. Id be fine with that too. Also would be cool with exploring some fractional amount of points for passing first downs.

My vision is to get it to a point where the QB distribution is similar to rb and wr and the scoring also makes sense.

Just got a message from Yahoo that if the draft is not COMPLETE by 11:59 pm September 6th it will cause some kind of issue with Week 1 scoring.

Right now we have it set up to START at 8:00pm that night. There's no chance it takes 4 hours, correct?

Good question because it seems they're still in flux.

We should also have the keeper rules, playoff rules, and draft rules/draft order for future years posted here in their final versions for completeness and the removal of any doubt if a situation comes up where people had different understandings of which rules we were operating under.

True obstructionism and also annoying considering he never even grasped why it was great and instead was all HURR DURR PASSING YARDS HAVE TO BE 25 YARDS PER POINT

I'm in favor of superflex and said that much. If you're adjusting QB scoring though you should do it by making TDs worth less rather than adjusting the scoring for yardage. Passing TDs are already worth more than is standard so that's a very normal and natural change.

Also, its ok to have certain positions score more points than others. For instance, TEs score fewer points than other positions in general, but that doesn't mean we need to adjust TE scoring to equalize it. Similarly, with 4 point passing TDs, the top RBs and WRs score as much as the top QBs.

A change this big would require consensus on rules and settings and is a big shift from agreed to setup. We could have done this two weeks ago cdl but you wrote like 5k words in slack against it and I think everyone got exhausted
