In all seriousness though (and I’m not just saying this bc I like to bust rivermans chops) I’d rather have someone like Vader who is proactively strategizing and generally being active than one who doesn’t care about his team and generally neglects it

If we really want to believe this league will run for a million years then Vader losing a few weeks isn’t the end of the world, nobody is building a superteam through him or anything

More importantly there’s no rule against it so if it’s really an issue just ban it in the off-season or whatever

Agree with disko and Vader. Changing the roster requirements midseason, especially after trades were made with the current requirements and rules in mind, is completely unfair. If we want revisit in the offseason that's fine but when this was brought up by me before the season no one else in slack seemed to want a rule. Making one now when it benefits other people is a huge conflict of interest.

He paid 200 dollars he can do whatever he wants is simply not true. There are lots of things you can't do. You cant cut good players. You cant collude. Etc;

By losing on purpose its essentially colluding with the players he hasn't played yet. If you guys want a league where people literally aren't going to field a starting roster in week ****ing 7 on wtf are we even doing.

I mean cdls insistence that every single imaginable possibility neees a rule is just so unbelievably titling to me. Its literally impossible.

For example:

I own CDL's 1st Round pick. I have decided since I paid my $200 and can do whatever I want for the good of my team I am going to trade Brandin Cooks, Tyreek Hill, and Jordan Howard to his opponent every single week, on the condition they trade them back to me on Tuesday after the game is over.

As theres no rule specifically outlawing this particular piece of jerkoffness, CDL will have to be willing to fight to the death for my right to do it.

Vyk feel free to send me that trade offer today if you agree to the condition to reverse the trade on Tuesday.

Trade backs are collusion afaik. This was established with precedent in the FACK leagues years ago. If it was allowed then I would obviously just rent a QB for the rest of the season for a pick.

Tut I see where you’re coming from and think your view is reasonable but do you honestly think Vader is doing this maliciously or league parity is in jeopardy?

He’s trying to do what he can to improve his team. When you set up the rules as 9 keepers/optimal lineups for draft order you open the door to this sort of stuff from thinking managers.

To be fair when I made the Keenan Allen for 3 WRs trade in the back of my mind I was absolutely thinking about depressing my optimal score by gutting my bench and counted that in favor toward accepting the trade. Obviously it’s a bit different since my starting lineup improved, but trying to get 0s out of your bench is clearly +EV and something I’m very aware of when I make transactions. Vader is taking it a step further obviously but it is sort of a slippery slope imo

What about i bench my entire starting lineup every time i play a potential playoff team other than cdl in hopes that them winning will make him miss playoffs?

Yes i am. I own cdls 1st Round pick. Him missing the playoffs benefits me a great deal. Me winning those games vs. Kkc and vyk actually do nothing to improve my team.

If he doesnt like it he shouldnt have traded his 1st round pick.

Also where in the RULES does it say i cant do it?
