They should just keep assigning lifers as his cellmates. He's doing God's work.

They should pair him up with HIV and he might kill the virus for humankind.

If in 96 Arizona took Ogden instead of Rice; Phillips and Ray Lewis would've been in the same draft to the Ravens. Those two bff's wouldn't have made it to 2000 out of jail and they never win that super bowl.

Spoiler:
Lawrence Phillips has had many run ins with the law. Back during his Nebraska days, he was arrested for assaulting his ex girlfriend, drawing national attention and condemnation after being allowed to rejoin the team for the national championship game versus Florida, a game in which Nebraska won 62-24 and Phillips scored three touchdowns. During his time in the NFL, he was arrested for assaulting a woman in a night club, and later arrested for assaulting a girlfriend. While playing in the CFL, he was arrested in Quebec for sexual assault, assault, and threats against another girlfriend. Hilariously, he was denied entry into Canada when trying to return there to deal with these criminal charges, told that he needed a special visa due to his criminal history even though his only reason for entering Canada was to answer his legal charges there. Finally, after washing out of the NFL/CFL/NFL Europe, he was again arrested for assaulting a girlfriend. However, despite the impressive series of assaults on women he had sex with (or in the case of the nightclub arrest, women who refused to have sex with him), this was just a precursor to the crime which I fell in love with.

The year is 2005. Lawrence Phillips is two years removed from his last stop in the CFL, a league in which he won a championship in 2002, was named an all star that same year, and then was promptly cut by two teams for insubordination the very next year. Fairly impressive, but sadly not illegal. Apparently still yearning for the thrill of competition, he found himself playing flag football against a group of teenagers in Los Angeles. You would think that a former professional running back would be able to hold his own versus a group of teenagers. You would be wrong. After somehow losing in flag football, Phillips got in his car (which was stolen) and ran it into what was described as a 'throng of boys', injuring a 14, 15, and 19 year old. After a short pursuit as Phillips tried to flee the scene, he was arrested and taken into custody. For running over the three teens, he received a sentence of 10 years, an amount that was later increased to 31 years after a subsequent conviction for a series of domestic assaults that occurred in the weeks just prior to his car attack. As an addendum, while in prison a month ago, Phillips was stabbed in a dispute with Mexican Mafia Kingpin Antonio Madrid, and is currently in protective custody.

Gang for now:

Lawrence Phillips: currently serving year 3 of a 31 year sentence.
Lawrence Phillips is dead. Apparent suicide.

Can't believe nobody picked Edwin Valero. Hell even at the end he wasn't mentioned.

Guy was a world boxing champion and went 27-0 with 27 KOs (first 18 were in the first round). Gets caught assaulting his wife several times before finally killing her. Shortly afterwards, he's found hanging in his prison cell.

Hence, custody is on the table
