Yeah having people reenter the game from the redemption house and then still having the redemption house is dumb. The producers have gone super FPS over this being the thirtieth season and it's only made it worse.
You would think that they would spend the thirty seasons working toward the best system for creating teams, how voting works, etc. Instead, it's like they put ten idiots in a room before each season and give them fifteen minutes to come up with another formula that's never been tried before. I'm sorry, but there aren't thirty entertaining ways to set this up. It's nonsensical.
For years now, they should have been working with a standard framework to which they can add a slight variation or surprise every now and then. Or they could run with standard most seasons and do something different every third season or something.
I just don't understand what goes through their heads. How can they not see that some seasons have been >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> vs others in terms of politics and strategy? It's not like the genre doesn't have excellent examples of shows that have maintained consistency and viewership. Would Survivor even exist any longer if Probst had come out in season 2 and said, "no tribal council this season?"
