But yeah that would/should have been the strat. Interested to see what they do with the team bank accounts at the end. Good chance the champs could end up with 40-50k in theirs which would be pretty hudge
Team bank accounts need to be at stake for a 2 on 2 final. Male Champ with Female Underdog and Female Champ with Male Underdog. Whichever team of two wins takes the whole purse. Champ gets Champs' portion and Underdog gets Underdogs' portion. Anything else is a bad decision.

my understanding was also 3 miles between base and the curry

a half marathon does sound a bit ridiculous thinking about it now

No way the challengers finished a half marathon, but I wasn't paying attention last night and I'm drunk now

Yeah I think station 1 looked like a pretty long ways and station 2 was pretty close. Hunter was on a dead sprint when he started and finished, and nobody can keep up that pace for more than 800m or so.

yeah I doubt it was 3 miles both ways. I thought that when watching it. That would be no joke with all that curry.

Thats unfortunate because it's a champs elimination night provided they don't screw us

Evidently the finale is scheduled for 5/2. So we have a good few eps left

They're also doing testing right now for the upcoming season. JOHN is obv testing and he snap chatted WES so the assumption is obviously both likely to be on next season

5/2 makes sense. 14 eps, same as last season

And they're obv gonna screw us if it is a champs final and not some swerve. Would be very surprised if Darrell/CT/Bannons elim didn't get cliffhanger.

It does kinda suck watching when you know a swerve has to be coming just based on the #'s though. Unless only 1 person from the champs of each gender runs the final or something.

It just makes the team challenges seem so low stakes.

1 person of each gender from each team in the final is ideal.

Ok but that makes these team challenges pretty worthless besides which side gets a little more $ and the team dynamics of who gets 1st and votes in who.

But the actual competition between "teams" isn't much.

how does it make it worthless to have more money if you win the final?

Only one member is getting the money. If it is 1 vs 1 1 vs 1 then just make it that. Nobody cares about seeing Bananas vs like Nelson or Shane.

if that's the case then rather just see a free agent/duel format type show.

What is the point of having team challenges if it is truly an individual game?

Either way I feel like it probably doesn't shakeout like that but we'll see.

The teams being uneven to start really killed the format imo. Narrowing toward the end game, it's like wtf are you going to do?

Maybe they wanted more champs and couldnt get them.

I stand by the opinion that they shouldve done newb eliminations until teams were even.

Nah that isn't it. I read they had Derrick from road rules and someone else as replacements ready to go.

Think they just overthought it with the whole shelter then to the mansion thing taking 3 eps.
