and yes, it was stupid that nothing was really at stake at the first checkpoint... interesting one would've been if leroy won and does he take kaycee back or keep nany? but it is leroy, he's never winning anything like that

The lack of advantages for winning these checkpoints are upsetting. Amber/CT destroying but I don’t feel their that far ahead.
Kam/Cory obvious need to be given the xtra food.

Was Amber sandbagging the entire time? She's out running CT, showing good memory, good at eating challenges and is looking like by far the best female out of the bunch.

I'm going to assume that Kaycee leg was just bruised or else the medics wouldn't even allow her to continue, i think she's playing up the "injury" a bit much & Fessy will never win a final if he hates eating challenges hahha.

I've gotta assume Kaycee's knee is seriously f'ed. I don't think you say "It popped" if something seriously wrong didn't happen.

I don't think Amber was sandbagging, she's just slight but in shape. She could never win a strength based elimination against Kam or Kaycee (or several other girls in this season) but she appears to at least be in good cardio shape which is huge when it's a partner final and is almost entirely determined by how long your girl can run for.

I’m holding out hope that every run and checkpoint is timed and order of finish is solely decided by total time.

I think Leroy is the only one who would change partners at this point. Hopefully there isn’t another opportunity to switch partners, but you never know with these producers.

Yeah I would hope so. I don't even know what's going on, does everyone have to finish the food then move on? Is it simply a timed stage? Who knows.

Why can't they just have a course with various challenges at checkpoints between a couple miles of running and the fastest team to finish it wins? They had the perfect formula. None of these twists are worth it.

Leroy could have won with Amber. Nany has shown over 10+ seasons to be a lousy competitor.

This is on pace to not be close and kam/Leroy brought this on themselves by letting CT get a walk to the final

I can’t believe they thought CT would actually get to the final with big T with the stealing of partners a thing

Their only plays were to either keep throwing CT into eliminations or completely ice him out from going in by throwing in people without skulls when he was the double agent

But either option would require them to not be scared of going into eliminations

They have this stupid idea that it's more suspenseful to show us a bunch of crap where we don't don't know what's worth what ( you can win a stage by 30 minutes, and then get a 30 second head star for it, etc) and then when it's over, we still won't know who won until TJ announces it.

They don't like straight up races, because if it's not close at all, it's hard for them to monkey with it to create a close finish.

The producers of this show seem to be complete morons. Everything is done in the dumbest possible way always.

It would be so easy to vastly improve The Challenge.

1. Tell the players the rules so they can properly strategize.
2. Reward winning dailies and punish losing/coming last. Do not incentivize throwing dailies.
3. Reward winning eliminations, but get rid of the skull mechanism.
4. Use immunities or other mechanisms so smaller alliances have the opportunity to overcome a numbers disadvantage (like Survivor)
5. All dailies and eliminations and the final should be designed so you can see who is winning and by how much, at all times. Blow outs can be as entertaining as close races. Get rid of the timed events where they don’t show the timers and we have to wait for TJ to say who won.

Simple. Occasionally they’ll do 1 or 2 of these for a season but usually they go 0 for 5.

Maybe they'll tell them their advantage at the beginning of the second day. I can't believe that the "huge" advantage was being able to switch partners.

They probably get to sleep indoors and have a solid meal while everyone freezes outside all night - isn’t that the reward they’ve given in the past?

The first 3 mile run that preceded the codex challenge appeared to be timed. CT/Amber got to leave before everyone else, and everyone had to wait until the amount of time that they lost by elapsed. The problem was that all 8 showed up together so Leroy and Nany in last place were only behind by about 7 seconds.

I think this is super important, but there are three mechanics against two teams that go in to elimination.

• Public/private vote
• Incentive to win the daily (power couple/double agents)
• Disincentive to lose the daily

The easy way around that is having the incentive to win the daily be cash or burger king for life and immunity plus the choice to pick order for the next daily or whatever. This allows the last place team to go automatically go to elim and still have a vote which is what creates the best drama and rivalries.

Otherwise, let's just go back to a big team format instead of pairs. Losing team goes in, winning team picks someone from the losers, then the losers need to eat one of their own. No swapping teams or voting your own in when you win the daily. No Troikas, no gold skulls. Quit ****ing around.

novelty of all stars has worn off for me, this is just boring olds now

I enjoy All stars more than double agents.
Allstar cast more entertaining than double agents cast who just lay around and train all day.
CT only reason to watch double agents at this point.

Feel like Leroy and Nany are getting a winner edit but at the same time I can't see how they could win. But Nany has been incredibly cheerful and likeable this season, and they keep harping on it being Leroy's last season. It almost seems like they are setting it up, the same way they set up Kaycee's injury by having Fessy act like an arrogant a-hole all season.

The other thing is that Amber got almost no screen time all season, except for when some of the other players complained about how annoying and fake she was. She was pretty much a non-entity and it would be an odd edit if they gave so little attention to the eventual winner.

TJ already told them last place is purged, so there’s nothing to save his energy for if he’s guaranteeing his team last. He’s just straight quitting.

Fessy could be assuming the eating checkpoint is like the color code checkpoint where it doesn’t matter how long it takes or if you finish if you aren’t in first.
