They are definitely making up the season as it goes along.

I really thought last night would be a double elim, either 2 vs 2 or guys and girls would both get a chance to go. But when you keep expecting the unexpected, the only unexpected is the expected.

This is the most boring season ever. They need to either end The Challenge, or get competitions that I don't fast forward through. Even the elimination was dumb, the editing is dumb, I don't need to see a slow mo cam for a ****ing race.

Obviously the show has taken criticism for something that they refuse to have physical competitions anymore, but it's kind of jumped the shark.

If I was Kyle there is no way I'd go along w/ throwing in Cory just because my partner is friends with him. I'd vote for whoever I thought was the best team in a final. IF TEEJ says if me and Aneesa have to come to an agreement on who is facing Darrel or we are going in I vote for whoever I think she would go for not named cory and go down if I have to go down.

While I am on the subject, if I was Kyle I would make for damn sure I didn't win yesterday's or next week's daily mission as I would much prefer to get voted down to the crater and have a chance to change partners than going to final with Aneesa.

Throwing around numbers a bit, but: Kyle and Aneesa are around 1% to win in a final if there are 3 teams that make it and less than that if 4/5 teams make the final. Kyle is maybe 35% to win in the crater in a random elimination against a random remaining opponent. Kyle and kam/kaycee would be at least 10% to win a final w/ 3 opponents.

Let's talk about why in the world Darrell and Amber threw away their votes on Leroy/Kaycee when they knew the house vote was split between them and corey/big t.

6 teams left. leroy/kaycee, kam/ct, and fessy/nany were voting for them. corey/big t were voting themself. kyle/aneesa also seemed likely to vote corey/big t in, so they could have tied the vote and seen what happens instead of guaranteeing their place in elimination.

My only thought was Darrell secretly wanted to go in to get a chance to change partners since he assumed he wasnt winning a final with Amber?

Was extremely dumb for Darrell and Amber B to send their votes to Leeroy and Kaycee.

Aneesa and Kyle don’t vote in this scenario, so there are 10 total votes. Here’s how it could have played out:

4 for Cory from Darrell, Amber B, Cory, and Big T
5 for Darrell from Leeroy, Kaycee, Kam, CT, Nany

Fessy would end up as the potential swing/tie vote. Does he vote for his boy Cory (which has the added benefit for him of exposing Leeroy in the crater) or does he save the Leeroy/Kam alliance for whatever reason? There’s very little to gain from saving Leeroy since they’re so late in the game that there may not be another male elimination day for Leeroy to get revenge this season, and Leeroy has said multiple times that this would be his last season (so there would be no future retribution).

Anyways, we haven’t seen what happens yet if the house ends in a tie, but the Challenge really doesn’t deliver at all when it comes to in-game strategy/politics, and it’s hurt the show now for like 3 or 4 seasons running.

Honestly didn't realize the power team doesn't vote, but that scenario makes sense too. Either way it is unexplainable to throw away your vote when you are one of the two teams up for elimination

To be fair I said I was "Throwing around numbers a bit". I don't think Annesa and Kyle are as high as 1% to win a final with 3 or more teams either. Their only out is an insanely dangerous final where multiple people get hurt and they get lucky not to get hurt.

I kinda don't think they run the finals as pairs, atleast not the whole thing. Maybe they run half of it as pairs but seems like you won't win as a team. The teams change so often that the viewer just has no real investment/familiarity with them all season. At the end its gonna be like oh corey and cam won?...Just seems like they don't run the whole drill together.

So while you should be angling for a good partner, I wouldn't risk too much to get off Aneesa if I was Kyle.

If it's a non cardio final, that has puzzles, eating, and strength stuff, Aneesa is maybe the best girl to have.

Out of what's left on this crappy season, I'd actually consider a Kyle/Aneesa win the most fitting ending to the season.

Wouldn't put it past producers to make it an Aneesa friendly final either, since all these other girls are irrelevant besides maybe nany/kam occasionally providing good tv. Kaycee seems cool but she is also pretty boring besides last season when she almost cheated on her gf with Nany.

The OGs thing doesn't look awful as far as concept but the cast just seems so dusty, Jonna is an OG? Jemmye?

It just blows my mind how much this show underachieves. Maybe I'm too old to be the target audience.

The characters arent particularly interesting. They aren't creating much real drama. They mostly aren't great athletes, and most seem of below average intelligence. They're mostly good looking people I guess. Other than Devin, Wes, Kyle, maybe s couple of others, they mostly have poor or non existent strategy in the game. And People like Darrell, Kaycee, and Leroy bring pretty much nothing entertaining to the show. Wtf is Josh doing on a TV screen.



The challenge formats suck. If you aren't going to win, it generally makes no difference whether you finish 2nd or last. And the editing is do silly, Kyle and aneesa might've taken 4 minutes, and CT and Kam might've taken 21 minutes, and we have no idea at all if it was close or not.

The eliminations are most of what's worth watching, sometimes it's great entertainment like a Fessy/Nelly hall brawl or Jenna/Tori smashing bricks, but sometimes it's as lame as watching 2 guys run for 7 seconds attached to a rope that's doing nothing. With a bunch of silly editing.

I doubt the challenge will ever be more than a show I play in the background during poker sessions. Sad to say it but I wouldn't care if the show got cancelled.

Worst season in years.

Pretty safe to say at this point they are just trying to check boxes at this point. Making an entertaining show is secondary, which is how we end up with arguably the worst season ever.

The duel 2 has the worst opening intro ever

Why don’t they bring back the one show titles like duel and rivals etc . Would make the game so much better.

I didn’t remember pairs from the first one. And duel was one elim at a time. But duel 2 is great. Idk why they didn’t do a third one

I think the reason they didn't do a 3rd 1 is because the duel is a pretty boring political/drama game. Heard a few castmembers say that. So you replace it with stuff like Free Agents/Total Madness that are a little more creative but same winner take all concept for male/female.

They need to do more battle of the exes / rivals too

Assuming brad / Darrell episode skipped too and that’s like the most epic fight ever

Tonya/Veronica fight I guess Veronica said something really bad to Tonya that set her off, no clue what it was though. Back then I remember mtv.com would have Challenge Dailies which was unedited footage, it was pretty good but they even edited it out of that.
