Love WEST, but he's a few seasons too late on this one. Challenge went full PEDs this year which puts Hunter *maybe* as the 4th or 5th strongest guy, and he's still one of the worst at puzzles.

I dont like the troika set up where majority rules. It makes it really hard for power to shift. JOHN and his goons will probably rampage through this show, which is usually entertaining

Needs a better format for the elimination (should have def been best of 5 or best of 7 given the chance that a quick bounce could go one way or the other.

I love that the team that gets sent in gets to call their shot.

Also, Amanda is truly the WOAT.

Might be the dumbest thing I’ve heard in the history of the CHALLENGE and I had to deal with a ton of seasons of people like Brad and Veronica and Katie and Dunbar talking “strategy”

His decision to go in had way more to do with the fact that he absolutely hated Amanda and hated being partnered with her than it did showing loyalty to someone else.

That's just Amanda being Amanda, she just screams but never makes any sense. She goes on about being a leader, yet in past seasons has glommed onto her clique and turns into a bully when numbers are on her side.

ANYWAY, there is much to like two episodes in. At first I wasn't excited about half the cast being n00bz but then realized that there is almost no way they're not an improvement on

In the unlikely event it turns out some of them ARE as annoying and worthless as that group then at least there's this brief honeymoon period where I don't hate them yet.

With the equally terrible Smashley sent off this early all we have left from the idiot brigade is Amanda, and she's largely neutered without her posse.

Plus it's good to see Nany again. She's not the hottest, or the fittest, and may not have the best personality, but she's above replacement level in all of those areas. Although she's obviously crazy the only person she really hurts is herself. And I guess maybe that weirdo who got super possessive after one conversation with her in the kitchen.

And of course it's always nice to see WEST.

Underrated thing about Ashley going home is that idiot chase is also gone. A nice 2 for 1 there. Couldn’t have started better

I just remember Nany getting fed up and snapping on Amanda for a moment. People standing around like a herd of elk while **** just pops off.

amanda actually used to be ok from what i remember. then maybe 3 seasons ago she just started playing heel and is the most obnoxious person by far

Amanda came on as a reaplcement midway through rivals 3, maybe? Fairly meek and non-descript in that season, fairly miserable since.

Hard to say because it's so early, but that comp almost felt like LOLO destroying every girl in her path a few seasons ago.

Behind all the PEDs, most of the guys look like just slightly-above-average dudes athletically. Theo being, you know, a world class athlete in his prime seems like it will really show (depending on the comps, obviously).

Cara didn't seem as jacked as usual though, I did notice that.
