Great vets cast, don't know any of the rookies but I'm glad they're trying hard to inject new blood, seems free agentsesque. But seriously the producers need to not **** up the format, first and foremost. Good game and episode format is vital for a good cast to shine.

yeah, show has jumped the shark

I know the show doesn't do very high ratings even with just challengers but is it really that much of a benefit to have all these people from like 8 different shows involved?

Are there that many people out there that just devour reality tv and know who all of these people are? Seems like most people watch 1-2 shows like this max.

That’s the whole point. People only have 1 or 2 guilty pleasure shows so they’re casting a wide net. Big Brother for instance is a pretty huge new demographic. Geordie Shore cast members should get the firing squad tho.

Agree it’s jumped the shark and it’s almost entirely on the producers / formatting. They’re blowing it so hard. I’ll still watch tho ldo.

ya, the point isn’t that people are supposed to know everyone. it’s that they’d attract new viewers who see 1-2 people from a show they like. it makes sense for them to try getting as many shows as possible involved

Don't get me wrong, this is going to be an absolute mess.
-Kyle and Paulie fighting over Cara for some reason; adding Cara doing a body shot off Bannans is just clearly a made for TV dramabomb about a girl who clearly isn't worth fighting for but is so god damned starved for attention.
-The Jenna-Zach relationship has been a complete cluster**** right in front of our eyes, and now Zach of all people has had enough of Jenna's bull****?

Considering the direction the show has gone the last 4 years, I can't imagine it doesn't show huge potential only to come up lame, whether it's format or softness of challenges or redemption houses/twists that act as a game breaking metric, but it just looks kind of cool with the Mad Max theme and WEST is back so let's give it a shot.

I doubt it; normally steroids make you lose your hair & ages tonnes of people, Johny is like 36 but looks the same age as these 20 year olds.

the math works out well for 13 episodes. it starts with 16 vets (8 guys/8 girls) and 18 rookies (9 guys/9 girls). so im guessing there will be an instant elimination of 1 guy and 1 girl rookie

that leaves 32 people to start. if they just eliminate one team each of the first 12 episodes, that would leave 8 people/4 teams going into the finale, which is the right amount.

so ya, hopefully they go back to one elimination at the end of every episode. and no redemption house is a huge plus
