I'm thinking they are just there for one challenge or a pit. Similar to the way CT showed up to backpack bananas. As opposed to joining the challenge late to compete for the money.

Either way it is going to be awesome since it will be something physical. You don't bring in the big boys to compete in a puzzle elimination.

Taking Easy to the final was bad but keep in mind that a lot of the eliminations were physical that year. Easy was huge then and would've beat most of the guys in the size-based eliminations. Also they smoked every challenge so they only had like 2-3 guys eliminations I think. They would've had to throw missions to get Easy out of there and most of them were friends with him then.

Evan and Kenny probably knew he couldn't do a final but it beat getting sent home by him.

Bananas even prophesized it when they threw him in over big easy in a dome.

Def lol Evan for not being willing to take out big easy and cruise to the final victory. Then on rivals volunteers himself to try to take out CT GOAT and gets smoked.

It was a decent write-up of the FIRST episode. Evidently the subsequent ones have been recapped too but I haven't had time to investigate. It was generally written well (albeit in a kind of strange style I am having trouble articulating) and big props for referencing the Regulator video from the great summer of '94. Equally big for the author being an Aneesa enthusiast. Like, what? Not attractive, not funny, not fit, brings no value to the show unless bitching every so often about how she is a CHALLENGE veteran who deserves respect for same is somehow supposed to be entertaining.

Weirder yet is that he's not alone, seeing as next week is evidently centered around some romance between Cory (sp) and Aneesa. Wasn't she a lesbian at one point? I guess even vegetarians occasionally turn back into carnivores. Looks like she'll have something else to bitch about.

ANYWAY:

- the editing where Cara Maria picked her team and then it immediately cut to her TH ranting how much her team sucked was great. Uh, YOU PICKED IT.

- Cousin Vinnie or whatever his name is had some great trolls of Camila which were shown during the aftershow.

- speaking of Camila, what is with everyone claiming that the strategy for voting in her sister (or cousin or whatever she is) is primarily to eliminate Camila from the other team, a an allegedly "strong player". What? She's drunk half the time, not fit, short (a disadvantage on two of the three challenges which already happened), and unstable. I assume that was a red herring and nobody had the balls to say "the sister is a total boat anchor who is clearly the weakest female on our team". Although the logic as presented had the substantial benefit of Camila somehow making it All About Her and losing her goddamned mind. The sister/cousin being indignant about being selected and claiming that she was a strong player was enjoyably delusional as well. She's a shorter, wider, more useless (and far less entertaining) version of Camila.

- in the aftershow, Bananas asked the question that should always be asked when someone feels unfairly selected. OK, if not you then who is more deserving? I can't remember who she said though. There is no better answer though because nobody on that team sucks nearly as hard as Camila's sister/cousin, although Nany seems to be kind of coasting on a "smoke cigs and don't eat" fitness regimen.

- the reviewer linked above mentioned that Cohutta was banging KellyAnne once upon a time??? Can't figure him out. He came off as a total beta bitch in last week's aftershow, claiming that Nany and him still had a thing, which she declined, wouldn't make eye contact with him at all, and sat exactly as far away on the couch from him as she possibly could. But now this KellyAnne revelation. It's like they throw him some sympathy ****s while they're in between guys who aren't tiny and act like needy puppies all the time.

I'd be willing to bet Nany has a coke problem. Some angles of her look so unflattering and you can tell her eyes are getting sucked in a bit. Then when she snaps it's complete psychopath from 0-100mph. She's always been a hot head like that but half the time she'll create something out of thin air to get all hype about.

Cracks me up how people especially veterans get so riled up about being tossed in. You've been on these shows for how many years? Dario twins handled it like a boss and were ready to nail Cohutta into the ground. Respect.

They dated during their season of RW: Sydney. She had a bf back home at the time, but Cohutta beat out bf & dunbar (who kelly anne first started flirting w/).

Camilla's sister and Camilla actually said Kellyanne should've gone in, then Bananas was all like "Nah Kellyanne owns you, are you kidding me?"

dunbar sucks. one season he was eliminated the first or second episode then just went online and posted nothing but excuses and bitch outs before going to the "i was trying to lose" loldefense that a six year old would make

incalculable levels of wil

Yeah I gotta admit I think Dunbar might be the #1 slanker OAT.

Decent seeming athlete, but I can't remember him ever doing well on a challenge (I think he won on Cutthroat where he basically had to do nothing and just got to the end by default and being carried by Brad/Tori)

That was when he was with Tyrie right?

I remember when they lost and Tyrie was pissed because Dunbar blew it. And Dunbar said something like "If there was two of you here, you would've just got your ass kicked twice as fast"

Not to his face though obviously.

It was when Tyrie was his partner. It was amazing. The most WIL literally in team history. The exit interview was one of the greatest things ever. Need to find it

Eta: yes grunching but to the above that's right. The exit interview was ****ing gold

Found this on youtube, from 2004 Challenge.

Amazing how different the show was then. People fighting and drinking during the elimination and the thing takes 3 1/2 hours.

Just watched latest ep, I'm sure it was touched on itt but just unreal that Cara Maria couldn't figure out Leroy was the easy #1 pick in that format

Pretty sure Cara didn't know who Gandhi was a few seasons back, shouldn't be that surprising

Looool. Prawney being as dumb as Cara Maria makes so much sense.

Yeah when I heard the format I was wondering where bananas would go, his cousin seems ripped etc so it's just a question of how much do you value bananas experience/RANGZ but I facepalmed when he went first lol.

At the time of the picks Leroy was the right pick based on all info available. We didn't know how eliminations and voting would go.

Now that we know how the eliminations go, Leroy is far less valuable because the other team is just going to vote in his cousin on every girls day. This significantly changes the value of Leroy as an asset.

The format is pretty dumb but the drama and breakdowns made it worthwhile

I actually thought after the draft Cara had the better team. Definitely in the minority here.

Depends on what you mean. All the guys on the other team will have to compete against each other which isn't ideal but they have the stronger team.

In hindsight Bananas is the correct #1 pick

At the time it was obviously Leeroy

Even in hindsight I still take Leroy first. Having Bananas on your "team " doesn't mean anything. Nobody does or should have any allegiance to their team and you don't know how long this format will last. Take Leroy and enjoy the nice edge for a couple of weeks and let the chips fall
