True story, been sick all week and passed out last night at 7, woke up briefly at like 9 and was like "CHALLENG..zzzzzz" and went back to sleep. I'm definitely on the list of people TJ isn't feeling right now. Blitzed through the ep this morning before work to make up for it. A few thoughts-
* I hope they stick with randomizing the format in regards to teams/groups/individuals per challenge, or it's basically going to always be "who has the most friends in the house" people that never go in
* Chet LOLOL fail
* This definitely makes the eliminations a lot more interesting, although I agree that someone like Preston floating through would be disappointing
* Laurel definitely looks better, although she also seems like she might be pure evil
* Saw some speculation about EMGOAT coming in as a replacement...why would they need a replacement on an individual season?
* Below comment was definitely the best of all the comments in the recap, well done-

Love the new format, hate that they are now going to spend 5 minutes of each episode with the bull**** suspense of flipping over cards. They should do it like that library show on mtv where they all reach for one at same time and flip. Would be just as exciting, and maybe dumbasses will fight over a random card like it matters.

These people cannot have real jobs right? Jasmine basically said she wanted to be a whore while she was there. She isn't working as an account executive anywhere. Have to assume they all work in a blue collar, bar type scene.

Mentioned before, but I have a good buddy who is cousins with a multiple time challenge player and RW contestant. He gets paid decently(enough to live off of, but not be super rich) to do random appearances at clubs and the like.

I imagine a few of them are bartenders/promoters. I think johnny or someone has multiple "companies" which I assume are self-branding things.

they basically all work "hosting" parties/guest bartending at clubs and stuff. travel around the country and getting paid to go out and get laid, mbn. a lot do personal training/gym stuff too. going on challenges is how they keep their name relevant

meanwhile evelyn is at harvard law which is why this season is not as good as it could be

Fitting that it was a gaping gash that ended Chets time on the show.

I know that 10 years ago they got paid way more and were able to make a lot more $ hosting parties, spring break, etc

Now there are 38952380902 reality TV shows so it has become a lot more fragmented and has made it harder. Bananas said this in an interview once....

I'm sure they still do OK though, beats working a regular job I'm sure.

FWIW I read on another site that ratings were awful with the switch to Thursday...

Stock Watch

UP
Devyn - Awful in challenges, her humor makes up for it - consistently the best one-liners. Sleeps with Sugar Daddies and Big Easy so she's got a wide range there as well.
Swift - Small, but appears to have a great deal of WIM, and a complete disregard for human life. It's early, but he shows some signs of being the black Derrick.
Isaac - Was hilarious on Real World, never had much of a chance in Challenges. Appears to have timed his PED cycles well, I'm excited to see what he can do.
LaToya - All we ask of the Non-Amazonians is that they don't embarrass themselves. LaToya did well. All the girls that managed to get up 42 flights of stairs have some final challenge equity (2nd place, of course)

DOWN
Cara Maria - You'd think she couldn't sink any lower. The first individual show in quite some time, what does she say on the way to the first challenge? "I hope it's a team challenge." GTFO.
Zach - I was disappointed by him. Once he saw what the challenge was, he should have stepped up and volunteered. Then sent Chet home in a bodybag. Has Zach had a gif-able moment yet?!? Even Big Easy has one, when he smashed Wes. Zach can't be mentioned in the same breath as CT.
Everyone else who voted Chet - I feel robbed. We all knew Chet was going down. Imagine the tension if someone capable had been thrown in.

Last edited by Cornboy; 04-14-2014 at 03:20 PM. Reason: Didn't include Chet as he couldn't sink any lower.

ppl are def overhating on chet. what incentive did he have to even gaf? he was going to get his ass kicked by frank and even if he pulled out a miracle victory he would be still drawing near dead to win a pile of money that's not even that huge.

it's obv that he just went on the show to chill in a house w/ a bunch of ppl and be on TV. once he felt his face was in jeopardy i don't really see the upside of being a tough guy and getting his ass kicked anyway.

he's a lol competitor and i shan't miss him, but i get his decision to peace.

there is that but i don't think he seemed to care too much about that angle so long as his face was intact

i guess the biggest loss is that he hurts his equity to get invited to future challenges. if TEEJ thinks he was good to go and he backed down anyway that can't be healthy for his future odds of getting invited back.
