WEST

lol at Brad being afraid to go into elimination. He would have dominated MJ in that challenge.

I’m not a survivor watcher, but I was told that I’d really like Tyson before this season started. I’m really looking forward to him this season and hope he makes it to the end and is willing to do other challenge spin-offs.

Something that is like a Champions season that has at least bananas and Wes (or even maybe a return of Kenny?) would make for some epic challenge TV

Kenny hasn't been on in 11 years now, don't think he is coming back

I feel like they could maybe do 1 more big season with all the legends like Wes, CT, Bananas, Brad then some lesser legends/newer people but the show seems kinda being phased out from the cultural zeitgeist now.

That pandemic season that Bananas won they needed to hit out of the park and it was a flop, although it was better than the last season with people from like 7 different shows

How is the avg viewer supposed to keep up with all these new people?

Anyone else been watching All Star Shore? It's kinda similar to the Challenge

The CBS version of the Challenge is pretty bad. Thought it would have a bigger budget and better production values, but it's actually the opposite.

Only compelling character is Tyson from Survivor. Not sure why they didn't at least have a team of Challenge vets on there. I suspect it's because it's primarily a promotional vehicle for the other CBS reality shows.

I think I read something about how this is going to lead to something with Challenge vets somehow.

I'm OK with it being pretty much in line with the MTV version in terms of budget, I feel like even if they spent more $$$ it'd be the same level of comps that just looked flashier, so who cares.

But yeah the show isn't much of a draw unless you watch at least two of those four CBS shows. At least I pretty much know all the BB and Survivor people, and a smattering of the other ones, so it's not bad.

Read it’s exes, partners, etc., on teams. Bananas is back, and so is Turbo, along with Jordan. Should cause some fireworks.

Challenge USA finale was laughably bad. I mean this show always makes up the rules as they go along, but this was ridiculous. Evidently you could not finish some puzzles and get "timed out" and keep going, while others if you didn't finish you just got eliminated from the game. No rhyme or reason to any of it.

Here's an article where they interview the winners about it:

It was a terribad end to the season (which I thought was half decent up until that shitshow). I’m fine with Danny winning, but to not explain what sudoku was to them was just awful. And it meant that Sarah won by default which also sucks. My only hope is that it gives Sarah false bravado to do the main Challenge and be shown how crap of a human and competitor she is

I like that they couldn't even muster up the effort to write out the actual rules to sudoku, which are like 3 sentences. "Finish the pattern" lol.

It's pretty funny that the show goes to CBS and they clearly got the B version of the producers, from a network that has 80+ seasons worth of experience in producing network reality competition show.
