115-113 seems fine to me and maybe the tie is ok - Canelo came on strong in the last third so perhaps that gets him there, I'd need to rewatch... but 118-110, sure...

Draw seems fair

A lot of GGG's jabs did nothing. Canelo landed most of the hardest shots of the fight. Rematch should be lit.

Hey, where's that pro-Canelo weirdo who thought he beat Mayweather?

An even card would be a bad card imo but not a lol bad card.

GGG is all class in the interview. I wouldn't handle it quite as well as he did.

He was more pro-Mexico. I forgot his username but he had the avatar where it looked like Daffy was having a wank.

I think draw is the absolute most generous result. I had 8-4 or 7-5 but I don't know a ton about boxing.

This.

GGG tried to score points, Canelo tried to draw blood. Had it 115-113 GGG, but could easily see it 115 or 116 for Canelo.

Mad GGG fanboys are mad.

Wonder how close the fight would have been if prime GGG was in there.

I mean, this probably did 1-1.5M buys and the rematch will do just as many, so there's that.

Super,

I agree with this 100%. Now that he knows Canelo doesn't have the power to hurt him he's going to be much more aggressive in the early rounds.

However I assume Canelo takes another fight in the meantime to put another year under GGG... what is he now? 35-36?

What part of this wasn't prime GGG? He took every Canelo punch and walked through it, he moved well (as well as he can), and landed consistant punches.

Canelo is a great boxer, even gassed he's not just going to bend over and take his medicine.

118-110 #NeverForget tho, this is gonna get Byrd the CJ Ross treatment

2017 has been a fantastic year for boxing. Some elite fighters going at this year. Joshua/Klitschko, Ward/Kovalev, GGG/Canelo and then Loma/Rigo is in December. Not often you have this many 1v2 fights in one year.

The part that's 35 and has been in over 400 professional and amateur bouts combined. He'll be 36 by the rematch.

I think GGG/Canelo II happens on Cinco de Mayo weekend. Mexican fans were booing Canelo, that's huge. He can't duck this.

Byrd has done this like 20 times in both mma and boxing. It'll never change.

RT,

That's true.

Also GGG ability to control the ring against Canello was masterful. He was constantly forcing him against the ropes. If he had of imposed this earlier in the fight it would have been a clear win... although Adelaide....

Have to give credit to Canelo for coming on strong over the last few rounds. Dude is an animal.

Wood,

She's been super terrible in mma which is where I know her from. What are her bad boxing decisions? - legit curious.

It would've been scored the same unless GGG knocked out Canelo. Even then I wouldn't be sure

I think anywhere from a draw to 117-111 for GGG is arguable, nothing else.

Great fight, look forward to the rematch!
