Someone with a boxing brain!

Canelo is fishnets meal ticket, if Golovkin inflicts as much damage as I expect then I can see the mexican being saved for another day by his corner. Agree with mutigers that Alvarez' power is overrated, in fact he is pretty much unproven at 160 although I have a feeling he will prove to possess a solid chin even though he hasn't faced m/any(?) punchers yet.
Pretty confident about a GGG victory but wouldn't be surprised if it goes the distance so will bet the straight win and resist the temptation of the juicy KO price even though I think a stoppage is the most likely outcome. Canelo is elite but Golovkin is special.

Canelo dodged GGG for so long until his last few fights when he looked like his level had dropped. I think if GGG shows up properly, in top condition, he should be strong favourite. But if he doesn't who knows.

Same, though I'd go with GGG at current odds to win the fight outright if I had to choose.

Biggest worry is that Canelo's camp learned from Jacobs and has Canelo working on side to side movement. If he had good movement I think he'd be the perfect foil to GGG (very fast hands, accurate counter puncher), but Canelo hasn't shown great movement vs good fighters yet and I can't see a single boxer alive that would p4p beat GGG without good movement. If equal weights, you could totally see Loma, maybe Rigo, maybe Ward beating GGG with elusive movement, winning rounds, but guys like Joshua, Kovalev, Stevenson, even Gonzalez, I can't see it.

I'd check on HBO and Goldenboy's websites to see if there's any way to purchase it.

Otherwise, within hrs of the fight and throughout the next day you can just youtube search "Canelo GGG full fight" and filter for videos over 20 minutes and released in the last x hours/day (depending on when you search, the goal is to filter out pre fight junk).

There will be crap stuff that tells you to go click a link, ignore that stuff, it's usually the foreign broadcasts that are put up first but oftentimes every broadcast is on there, sometimes never taken down.

Simbros may still tweet links too. You could also join tc-boxing if you wanted to get hardcore.

So absurd that the cruiserweight tourney still hasn't been picked up by a tv channel in America . What a ****ing waste

You would make a terrible boxing manager/promoter.

It would be absolute idiocy to give your fighter what might be the toughest test of his entire career before he even reaches his physical prime.

This fight has always been waiting on Canelo to reach 27 and his physical prime while of course pushing GGG deeper into the water age wise. Those both just happen to line up nicely and to not push every edge for your fighter would just be bad management.

Canelo is not a power puncher obviously. He is a devilishly skilled counter puncher and I just don't think the way you beat him is by fighting like GGG. I think Canelo can be beat bad with a Sugar Ray style vs Hagler exactly because he is not a power puncher. In that situation he won't get the work rate in to win enough rounds. GGG style will showcase what Canelo does best though. IMO the most likely outcome is Canelo by UD.
I am sure we are already set-up though for the self hating boxing whiners to cry that the judges were paid off or some other bull**** when Canelo wins the UD.

I don't think it's some sort of conspiracy to point out that canelo seems to have been given the benefit of the doubt in many fights already from judges namely trout Lara mayweather fights

We'll know what the outcome will be after a few rounds when we see how well Canelo handles GGG's power.

Given the way the fighters are matched up, this only goes the distance if Canelo is ahead.

Yeah the first 24/7 was good but that under the lights was meh. Neither 1 of them is exactly radiating personality.

Roy Jones did a good job but still a boring ep.

So I'm watching Counterpunch on Netflix (so far it's pretty meh, watch it if you have 90 minutes to kill), and they're talking about Quillin vacating to avoid Korobov.

Oscar is being interviewed and says "I mean who gives up a world title just because they don't want to face the best in their division? In my day that's just unheard of."

I just rewatched GGG Jacobs a minute ago and I'm pretty damn convinced Jacobs won. Perhaps I was watching it with a contrarian eye but I really tried to be objective and I thought Jacobs fought brilliantly. I disagreed with Harold ledermans scorecard on I think 3 rounds in 78910 and i think 3 was a swing round that could have arguably gone to Jacobs although I gave 10-10.A lot of people have complained that Jacobs got rounds just for doing better than expected but I really disagree . Jacobs is a fantastic fighter and I really hope he gets a rematch or a match with canelo soon. For me he is fringe top 10 p4p who does not get near enough credit. GGG has to fight better to beat canelo than he did in march. I'm saying the hell away from any bets on this fight . Canelo hasn't fought anyone near as good as Jacobs in years

I think part of that is that Jacobs is a lot faster than Canelo in hands and feet (not shocking as a blown up WW).

Canelo is going to slip a lot of punches and frustrate GGG, but he's not going to move as well as Jacobs.

The biggest question is how well Canelo handles GGG's power. He's going to get hit, and if he can weather that, I see him outscoring GGG. If he wilts under the power, then he's as ****ed as everyone else.

Related, GGG looking less flabby per per his instagram

No doubt he'll look every inch a boxer at the weigh-in, but whenever I see his picture I can't help thinking that his face looks like it could never belong to a boxer. It just doesn't fit.

I imagine being hit hard enough to rattle your shoes and then being stared down makes one believe his face belongs to a boxer

Pinny:
GGG -150
Canelo +133

What was the last major fight where the odds were this close?

GGG has taken serious shots to his chin without any damage so I don't see Canelo dropping him.

If I'm correct, then Canelo at -190 by decision is the much smarter bet.
