love them both, but love Canelo more. he's winning easy. but Chavez Jr at 5/1 odds does seem tempting.

Unfortunately, JCC Jr is too one-dimensional be anything more than a B-side for top fighters. If he doesn't have the power to put a fighter down, he has no idea what to do. We saw that against Fonfara. We'll see it against Canelo.

Jesus Soto Karass was a lot like that. He had the chin and power and put on enough entertaining fights to get on the B-side of Maidana, Thurman, and Alexander but was never a threat to beat them.

I feel the undercard is preety solid. Lemieux is an entertaining fighter and if he repeats the performance he had against Stevens I expect him to fight Canelo in September.
There is also a lot of hype for Lucas Matthysse in this part of the world so Im looking forward to see what he does.

Canelo vs Chavez Jr seems like an easy Canelo win for me, I saw an one hour mexican the other night about the fight and it seemed like they were grasping at straws to make the fight sound closer than what it really is.

JSK is cool and all and he was fun to watch but i'm not sure that is a fair comparison just cuz JSK never ever had the power to knock anyone out whereas at least if you squint you could see JCC landing a few punches and getting lucky with how big he is imo. JSK is the man tho always came to fight.

la pepe will win easily i think but that goes to show how ****ty jcc really is. jcc was in a pretty competitive fight with this guy reyes. canelo-lemiuex would be a prettty good fight that i would watch (altho never pay for ppv lol) but that just goes to show how much canelo needs to fight ggg. ggg destroyed lemieux it was not even close.

JCC Jr is too slow to catch Canelo with his body shots and Canelo doesn't have enough power to knock out JCC Jr.

Should be 120-108 Alvarez

i agree that it will likely be a wide decision. can't see either guy getting knocked out

Joseph Parker fighting on Sky this morning 11am UK time. Opponent's a late replacement and Parker is 1.03 to win though.

Parker looking like crap half way through this fight.

Doesn't look like he carries the power vs decent opposition, Takam, Ruiz and now Cojanu, he can't hurt them

Parker looked terrible in that fight. He will quickly come unstuck against world level opposition, but at least if he comes to the UK to fight he will get paid well for it.

Based on that fight I'd even give Bellew a real chance against him.

Is he even favourite over Dillian Whyte if they fought outside NZ?

In for Canelooooo!

Watched Parker last night. Another very uninspiring win for him. He was $1.002 (not a typo) favourite with local bookies and I didn't see the scorecards, but I would say he lost at least three rounds...

Also, I thought Parker was scheduled to fight H. Fury on the AJ/Wlad card? So presumably Fury pulled out of that late, but how did they scheduled Parker to fight last night? Must have been short notice for his opponent?

His opponent was his sparring partner in camp apparently

Ah, ok. Makes sense. Still must have been a short turn around for promotions, undercard, etc.

Lemieux should fight better opponents imo, this is just a one sided beating.

Marcos Reyes has a strong chin though, we can give him that.

He has taken some massive shots, it hasn't been totally one sided though. At least he's giving enough action to keep it interesting.

I love the massive lemieux hay makers where he nearly throws himself off his feet tho. It's like, tight, tight, tight... NEKMENNIT HAY MAKER ...tight, tight, tight.

Alright, go time. I like this type of entertainment-money grab fight over the Brook or Khan little guy money grabs. Chavez seemed to make weight without issue, hope he isn't too slow to compete here and can give at least half as good as his chin can take.

Predicting Canelo win though, by decision though KO isn't out of the realm, Chavez is really there to be hit and Canelo is quick and precise in those instances.
