think riddick bowe used to balloon to like 320 after every fight and he managed to get it off and perform. on the down side it eventually robbed him of his reflexes..

there's a rematch clause

It's a 2-fight contract and the money for a rematch will be incredible. No doubt it will happen.

Joshua answered questions about his chin and heart. Klitschko showed that while he isn't at the top of the division, he is still a major player in it.

I don't remember the last time I saw a heavyweight fight that was this good. Bowe/Holyfield perhaps?

Amazing fight. Klitchko should have finished him in the 7th or 8th he just gave AJ two rounds to recover and paid the price. What did everyone think of the scoring?

After ten, I had it 96-93 Joshua

Pretty sure if Wlad could have finished him in the 7th or 8th, he would have. He was either gassed or afraid of getting countered if he got too aggressive.

Amazing to see Joshua come back after looking like he was gonna pass out from exhaustion in the ring. The human body is a pretty incredible thing.

a great fight, I am klitchko fan and am disappointed with his lack on initiative after the 6th rd knockdown but that was enjoyable to watch and the post fight highlights and interviews were a joy to watch

Rafael had it even as well. Don't remember what the Sky Sports card was though.

memory fuzzy but i think i give AJ first three rounds through wlad inaction, round 10 and 10-8 on the knockdown round

wlad rounds 4789 and the 10-8 for his knockdown

all the praise aside i sort of expected something like this and i think AJ's ceiling is a lot lower than most people

guy will prob be a global star but he has some real big issues

edit- unless i'm missing something i thought the farhood card was wrong bc i didn't see a 10-8 round for joshua when he knocked klit down ? i thought aj won like the first five rounds honestly. i had him ahead by a couple after ten

Gave first 5 + 9 & 10 to Joshua but scored #5 10-9

6-8 for Klitschko (#6 10-8)

He showed a real lack of experience when he knocked him down in the 5th and celebrated like it was over. He went in assuming that it was definitely over and blew all of his energy trying to finish him. I thought for sure Wlad was gonna stop him in the 6th if not 7th or 8th.

But he learned from it. He learned what his limits were and not to get overconfident after a knockdown (the talking seemed to be him convincing himself he was still in it rather than messing with Wlad). If there's a rematch, the fight won't be as close imo.

Sounds like BS. You don't take a round off after nearly losing in the previous round.

Seemed to me that the talking during the fight wasn't to get into Wlad's head but to convince himself that he was still in the fight and build his self-confidence.

It would be a dagger to my heart if that were to happen.

No doubt the recovery seemed superhuman but when you're in your physical prime and are an athletic freak, you can do stuff like that.

Credit to Wlad for still being able to live with a guy like Joshua at 41.

honestly reminded me of ward-kovalev for a while with one guy kind of dominating first half of fight then i thought klit was coming on real strong...but heavyweights may as well be a diff sport with all their conditioning issues and one punch power to change fights. i went from thinking no way AJ doesn't knock him out to thinking the complete opposite. credit to both guys. glad this fight worked out

So who beats Joshua?

Wlad in a rematch is the best shot I think.

Wilder doesn't throw sharp enough punches to pull it off, his footwork isn't great either, I think he gets chin checked several times for every time he can do the same to AJ, and I don't expect Wilder to survive that power. Nor Ortiz, who is probably the wrong style for AJ.

Nobody else in the division seems skilled enough. Maybe Povetkin, but that guy can't even figure out how to pass a drug test.
