I thought the first fight was close (I had Kovalev 114-113). Unless Kovalev gets through with his power shots, I expect another close decision victory which will go to Kovalev to justify a trilogy.

lol at comparing Ward to the Klitschkos. I just don't see Ward losing.

I feel pretty much the same way I did going into the first fight . Slightly lean ward but would never bet either guy at even 2-1

There's a decent domestic fight on BT Sport for the Brits tomorrow night, Liam Williams v Liam Smith. Bookies have it as practically a coin flip.

Smith, following in the footsteps of his fat knacker brother Paul, has failed to make weight and didn't bother to try and get it off (2lb over). Still should be a good scrap though.

Frank Warren seething. His first show on BT and Smith/Joe Gallagher can't even hit weight.

Living up to his nickname. Isn't this supposed to be for a title shot?

It's for an interim WBO belt so yea some kind of eliminator.

lol at Liam Smith. Silly ****er. That it made Warren beyond furious means that he should be commended for his actions though.

He does. Punch then clinch. Punch then clinch. Ward hasn't been in a fight that I would ever consider a classic.

He used the same strategy against Kovalev that he did when he fought Froch. It was boring though effective and it paid off in a decision victory. Unless Kovalev's power breaks through, the fight will be the same as the first.

The Kids back on tonight, hopefully with some more vicious body punching like this:

Had Kovalev winning the first fight. Will be a sick rematch i'm sure. Guess Kovalev will go for the finish and not even expect to win a decision.

Can't even recognize Tyson Fury. Kind of sad. Or maybe he is better off, i don't know.

Def effective but you're right ward and Floyd prob won't ever have one fight anyone will actually want to watch on like ESPN Classic in 20 years ... Not even close to an entertaining fight really when you think about it. I thought ward kov was a good fight because of the drama and tension but not really something I care to watch again . Sometimes i rewatch maidana Floyd 1 for the shock value . I rewatch a lot of maidana fights dude is the man

Kovalev vs Ward rematch is preety cool. I agree that most of the entertainment from the Ward/Kovalev rematch comes from the drama and tension but that is probably the best part of sports. I just hope they show the fight in south america.

UK based posters, is the average Hearn card as superAIDS as I imagine it to be? Tempted to go to Brook/Spence in the cheap seats but interested to know whether there's likely to be anything else worth anything on the card

Seeing as it's at Bramall Lane and on PPV, Hearn will probably put a bit of effort into the undercard. Dillian Whyte for one is rumoured to be on it. Main event is so good though that I wouldn't be that fussed of the quality of the undercard. It was an event I was going to go to but it clashes with the Rugby finals at Twickenham.

New era of boxing on BT Sport starts with a bang this evening.
