Foreman has got a huge set for continuing but he's a sitting duck out there without his knee.

Also, apologies there was no photographer fail involved.

This is the reason there hasn't been a fight there in 34 years, humidity.

Lolol at ref not wanting to stop this.

Wow, real moment of honor and class from both fighters there. This is pretty amazing to watch.

They are saying the white towel came from an outside source, not the corner.

That towel that gone thrown was filthy, but I think the trainer said he threw it after the round ended. Good fight, (turns out) great officiating.

That was crazy. Boxing always finds a new way to get weirder and weirder.

Such high hopes for this fight.

Semi delivered. Really bizarre twist of events to end things but super great for Cotto to grab the W.

Was it humidity that caused the slip or the silly damned slick fresh painted logo on the canvas. A stadium full of people to watch a fight ruined because boxing people are too damn stupid to require a non-slip paint standard for logos on the canvas. Not to mention the injury to the boxer. Foreman should sue. Maybe that would get their attention.

I guess no one followed the link?

Anyways, as recently as last night, Arum claims there are no longer any obstacles between Mayweather and Pacquiao hammering out a deal...even quoted as saying:

Does that mean Pacquiao has agreed to unaltered Olympic-style testing? If that's the case, surely there can be no defending Mayweather any longer if this fight doesn't get done.

I am pretty sure it means that Pac agreed to the 14 day cut off, not unaltered Olympic-style testing. 14 days is a good compromise though, and it was fine with Mayweather 4 months ago, so it should be fine now.

I hope they announce the fight soon. These drawn out negotiations is taking away some of the excitement for the fight (for me anyways). I am just so sick of it all.

Nice article on my man Danny "Little Red" Lopez getting into the HOF.

http://www.deseretnews.com/article/7...xing-ring.html

Sounds like he's doing pretty good; much better than almost all his contemporaries.

Now that would be a great 30 For 30 episode: All those great feathers & bantams from the late 60s/early 70s who fought in the old LA Olympic & Sports Arena. Lopez, Chacon, Olivares...What warriors.

Brag: Was at Lopez' title defense in SLC, tho it ended in 4 , not 2 like the article said.

Salvador Sanchez, RIP.

I don't speak Spanish but there is a link to an Oscar De La Hoya interview in which he says that Pacquiao/Mayweather is very close to getting made. Forward to the 4:26 or after.

Anyone who speaks Espanol please translate. Forward to 4:26.

please be true

I found the translation online:

"Up until now, it's been a very difficult negotiation process for various reasons but right now we're very close."

"We're very close in finalizing the contracts that were once very complicated. The two fighters now realize that this fight must be made. It has to be made because the boxing fans want to see it happen and right now it's the biggest fight that can be made in the world."

"It's going to be a big, BIG fight!"

"I think right now we are very, very close in finalizing the contracts. I can't talk right now in detail about the negotiations but I will say that we are very close."
