That was a pretty horrible draw tbh.

DeGale tilts me. I'm sure he should be better than he is. I'm not sure if he has stamina issues or what. He could also do with developing some sort of jab.

Yeah that wasn't impressive but at least he admitted as much after the fight so Im sure that might wake him up a bit and he will need to improve in any upcoming fights.

I def think he has stamina issues tho, I've always felt like that about him.

I'd warmed to DeGale for a bit but he's gradually tilting me again. Case in point his interview after last nights fight, openly laughing at Medina telling him he's the worst mandatory challenger ever.

Err, so why has he took you to a fairly close decision then James with your face looking like you've been in with Kovalev? I used to think he was arrogant, I actually think he might just be a bit simple now.

Yeah, I've always thought he was arrogant, simple and a bit of a dick.

i thought paulie was really really on point last night commentating. degale way more skilled than this guy but he lets him walk him down all fight almost never using his jab to create space or clinching on the ropes even though medina has no head movement and does nothing but walk in and throw telegraphed shots. degale was winning the fight easily in the center of the ring but let himself get pushed to the ropes again and again and never seemed all that concerned despite getting battered there

bizarre. i still favor him v jack though

Ortiz is such a good loser.
DeGale is a wannabe Amir Khan.
Jack wins without winning.

That was another really good PBC card. We've had some good matchups so far this year, hope it keeps up.

Next weekend should also be good with the Showtime PPV card + Chisora - Pulev (should be a good 3-4 rounds of fighting until Chisora is exhausted and just hugs and covers all fight).

Yea, screw Degale. He's just not fighting intelligently, Bute's "resurgence" was essentially Degale being lazy/not in prime shape and now he lets a subpar opponent fight him to what was optimistically a draw. There's probably a prospect or two a 168 that is the current best fighter at that weight class since Ward moved up, it's not Degale.

DeGale's fan base has to be the smallest one going for a world champion and rightly so.

How do you guys see Wilder V Povetkin?

I rate Povetkin reasonably highly, but have kind of got the impression since the fight was mooted that most people fancied Wilder strongly. Looking at the PaddyPower odds, they have 4/5 Wilder and Evens for Povetkin - ie vritually a coin flip.

Fury claims he is going to retire after the Klitschko fight. Looking at the size of the **** now it looks like he has retired before it.

i don't have that impression. I think a lot of boxing fans (rightfully) think the jury is still kind of out on wilder and povetkin is by far his biggest test. obv pbc tries to hype up wilder like he is the unbeatable american champ but i think a lot of fans believe he would lose to fury, ortiz, joshua, and perhaps povetkin. i think povetkin wins a decision and if wilder wins it is probably a KO. good fight tho. i slightly favor povetkin. i think the odds are pretty good i really don't know who i favor. i don't trust a fight in russia not to be fixed somehow tho lol. stay away from undercard

Right? I only made it for the final three fights on PBC, but it's hard to argue with a bunch of KOs. Really fun fights for free TV.

Honestly a little shocked how nicely PBC is shaping up this year

Wonder if the ratings will justify keeping it going. I mean isn't the idea for it to be a loss leader for PPV events?

lol Chisora woefully insecure. He did this against Vitali too and Vitali beat his ass.

Pulev will beat him pretty badly. All of Chisora's losses are against fighters who are taller and have a significant reach advantage. Haye was the smallest opponent to beat Chisora and he had a 1 1/2 inch height advantage and 4 inch reach advantage. Haye was also 37 lbs lighter than Chisora for the fight.

Pulev is 2 1/2 inches taller with a 6 inch reach advantage. Pulev tends to keep his weight about 250 lbs (+/- 3 lbs) while Chisora is all over the map with his weight ranging from the mid 230s to low 260s. He has done best when his weight was around the low 240s. That said, he has fought in the mid 250s in his previous two fights against two nobody fighters.

So, barring an early round knockout (which is possible since Pulev is a slow starter) he won't beat Pulev.

lol Khan.

Quote:
Khan felt he was close to securing a fight last year with Mayweather, who retired in September and has recently hinted at a comeback.

"He messed me around, so I'd probably treat him the same way - I don't think I'd take that fight," said Khan.
Chinny reckon, as we used to say at school.

lol Khan passing on a fight with Money. Khan would die for a chance to get the ring with him.

It's pretty funny that he's even talking about it given what he has coming up this weekend.

I'm a bit surprised that Hearn has let Crolla get in a ring with Barroso this weekend, he looked frightening against Mitchell.

The outspoken fighter, who defeated Klitschko on a unanimous points decision last November, says he 'just can't be f***** with it' ahead of the July 9 rematch in Manchester.
Fury confirmed the news on Twitter and told iFL TV: 'It's going to be my last fight win, lose, or draw. S*** or bust. All or nothing. I'm so sick of it. I've got no motivation to carry it on.'

lol

Wlad for the max!
