Looks like Paulie's only going to be allowed one more round.

Good stoppage imo

Paulie spent 30+ minutes getting smacked around the ring. Didn't win one round imo

Good stuff! Was solid but not spectacular from Khan. Will be very very interesting to see how he manages against more solid opponents.

Goooooooooooooo Lancashire!

Good performance by Khan. Now lets see Khan vs. Maidana and Bradley vs Alexander.

Yea, good performance by Khan. Pretty much the most likely outcome; Freddie Roach having a great gamplan for Khan to outskill a very game (as usual) Paulie. I have a ton of respect for Paulie. Most American boxers modern day are looking for a way out after a couple rounds if it's not going there way. Say what you want about him, but he's proven time and time again he's a warrior.

Khan/Bradley/Alexander/Maidana are all great matchups. All 4 are practically in their prime, very game, and have quite different styles. Can't wait to see them matchup.

Katsidis!

Khan vs Malignaggi just as expected.
Agree with $kill Game pretty much. Great division.
Ive also not totally given up on Zab Judah. He could make for some interesting fight if he get his **** together.

For me Maidana is overrated. Everyone keeps overlooking the fact that Khan beat Kotelnek comfortably on points 2 fights back. Kotelnek beat Maidana in which regardless of the close decision he gave Maidana problems. Khan is continuously evolving and the Khan that beat Malinaggi is better than the one that beat Kotelnik. As for Bradley, Khan needs to develop a little more which 6-12 months with Roach will give him the time to but against Maidana all Khan has to do is keep his chin covered up, he's the better boxer and has way faster hands. I think Khan is probably the most promising 23 year old in the last 15 years.

Boxing math ftw.

Noone is doubting Khan is a superior boxer compared to Maidana. He do however have one insanely fragile chin and Maidana carries a great punch.
If Prescott can blast Khan out in seconds so can Maidana.

Also i disagree with Khan being the most promising 23-y/o in the last 15 years.
Nine years ago, 23 year old Floyd Mayweather JR were 25-0 with 7 title defenses.
Im not even sure Khan will have a greater career than Devon Alexander to be honest. That kid is also on his way towards greatness.

Even though there are some great middleweight fighters at the moment, the sport really needs a couple great heavyweights to bring the prestige back to boxing.

Something tells me Katsidis would still be a very dangerous opponent for Khan, even after moving up a division.

I agree. I've only seen Khan this one time but he seems vulnerable to the body and apparently has a suspect chin, so Katsidis isn't an ideal opponent. I'd like to see it though.

Katsidis is like the best possible match up for Khan unless he decides to be a ducker and fight someone like Juan Diaz (Who has a fight) Katsidis is like a very poor mans version of Maidana, and I couldn't see him being under +500 which means that it's a very safe fight. I see Khan has an underdog vs Bradley and Alexander and like -170 or so vs. Maidana.

I see Khan as the favorite vs Bradley. Khan is getting significantly better, imo, with every fight. I also trust Freddie Roach to put Khan in the best position to win the fight (that might sound lol, but almost all other boxing trainers don't do this).

Also, I can't wait to fade Victor Ortiz vs a live opponent

Roach is dodging anybody with knockout power. He's a smart guy.

As far as I'm concerned, that article has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that Fritzie Zivic >>> Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The Croat Comet ftw!! Put a smile on my face, haha.

Is there any chance of the mini-tournament at 140 that they were talking about after the fight actually happening?

Yes, but it probably won't be a clean 4 person tournament. Victor Ortiz, Michael Katsidis, Juan Diaz-Juan Manuel Marquez II winner could be involved as well.

Without a doubt the talent pool in boxing as a whole was much deeper back in the day but I feel that a lot of pundits discount a lot of today's talent because of bias of when there was more prestige around the sport.

A 140 lbs. unification tournament would be the stone cold nuts. Alexander, Bradley, Khan and Maidana would be awesome, but possibly Ortiz, JMM and Katsidis even? Unreal.

I'll believe it when I see video of Pac saying it, but until then...cautiously optimistic.
