Re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

Great fights on HBO tonight (entertainment wise). I'm a big Paulie fan, but Khan can definitely win me over with an impressive performance.

Campbell-Ortiz is very interesting as well. Campbell looked like garbage vs Bradley, but if he can put Ortiz in deep waters again, it should be a helluva fight. Whoever loses will take a HUUGE step back (retirement maybe) and I expect them to fight like that.

Re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

hmm, do i want to get up at quarter to three for the khan fight? bleh, may as well, i normally only do that for PBF/Pac but i'll make an exception for khan (used to work for his uncle back before he won olympic silver, allowed me to get on bandwagon at a great price)

I actually pretty excited about the Khan/Malignaggi fight. I don't really like either of them, but I hope Khan knocks Paulie out cold

Malignaggi = powder puncher with a big mouth, and i can see him get another beating the same as Hatton put on him.

Re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

Malignaggi put up a good show against Diaz in both fights, but Khan is going to be too fast and strong for him. Looking forward to Khan getting really tested against some of the better fighters of the division in the near future.

Victor Ortiz dominated every second of every round

100-89 Ortiz

Re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

Another close one, but I think the only clean shots (ie the ones not to the back of the head) of the round came from Khan so I've gotta score it to him. Khan looks calm and Malignaggi looks troubled to me.

10-9
10-9 Khan

Malignaggi was the more aggressive in that round and although it was close again, I think that one goes to Paulie.

Re: SE Boxing Thread (still waiting for PBF v. Pac)

A couple of solid shots in that round from Khan. A lot closer than I thought it'd be though. Khan doesn't look as fluid as he usually is, but Malignaggi looks pretty tired already.

That one looked pretty even to me.

Khan completely bossed that round.

10-9

Footage here in the UK on ITV is awful. Get Khan back on Sky.

7th not particularly eventive, but Khan is obv dominating now.

10-9

Scoring now irrelevent imo. Malignaggi needs KO, which is obv not going to happen.
