Billy Joe Saunders isn't a can, but he is very overmatched against GGG. Then again other than Canelo, who isn't?

I can currently get pascal at +1200. Anyone think any value here? He was getting to kovalev some in the middle rounds first fight, and unlike GGG Kovalev seems like he can be hit and hurt.

Of course, he also looked like garbage in that other fight after he was KO'd he won by judge riggage, so there is the Chance he just isn't the same guy after getting KTFO last year.

I saw nothing from Pascal to lead me to believe that he'll beat Kovalev. He's only knocked out one fighter in his last ten fights (George Blades) and was gifted a decision against Gonzalez. Aside from the occasional pot shots (which did little damage to Kovalev) he had no offensive output. Perhaps changing to Freddie Roach might help, but I doubt it. Kovalev should win by another easy KO.

lol @ that Thurman KO. Didn't even look like a hard punch.

Apparently that was Thurman's second professional fight. According to BoxRec, it was also Tramiane Boone's second fight as well except that it was also his last fight.

I don't see Pascal at +1200 being a great value either.

We got the doubleheader HW title fights from Brooklyn coming up this weekend, not bad for a January.

seems fine to me

i would have just chosen mayweather but fury has the next best win regardless of it being a fight that i didn't watch at all and that was terrible by all accounts

I think these days the FotY recognizes more shocking accomplishments rather than anything else. Golovkin KOing somebody is meh. Chocolatito with a KO, what else is new?

Fury upsetting Klitschko in one of the most boring fights I have ever seen? OMG FIGHTER OF THE YEAR

That choice is about comparable to how belts and mandatories are handed out, so seems about right lol.

Just a shame Szpilka has nothing on his record to suggest he can get the job done.

Cracking Jonjo Shelvey lookalike though.

Mandatory Kev, you can't expect him to relinquish his belt.

Does anyone actually care about the belts? He has been a World Champion for what? A year or so? He hasn't fought anyone remotely world class since winning it. He is a joke, always has been. Extremely talented fighter but he is sadly wasting his prime years on bums. He should have been making a huge statement in 2015, it didn't happen and now he is starting 2016 the same way.

Jo Jo Dann, Frankie Gavin and now Kevin Bizier? Mandatory or not he is the laughing stock of the division. Im no fan of Amir Khan but at least he went out and fought big names in America.

Also waiting on Eddie Hearn to somehow manage to get it on Box Office

i put absolutely zero stock in belts myself and would be perfectly fine if they never existed but the boxers themselves sure seem to care about them. brook and khan are being kind of an embarrassment in not just fighting each other. brook really seems to think beating porter makes him some sort of A side with leverage on other boxers i don't really get it

No, but he could have found a borderline worthy opponent at some point after winning the title. He has beaten Porter and that's about it. Next best on his CV is probably Jones?

I understand he is holding out for Khan in the summer and lots of money but this is another ****burger if you are a boxing fan.

I mean after Porter he prob did have leverage to basically fight anyone bar Mayweather in the division but he's back on the same path he was on for all those years leading to beating Porter.

I honestly don't get it, it's gotta be hard to get motivated for these types of fights as well.

What Kev said - there are a load of great fights to be had in that division. Brook has just ignored them.

yeah the division is probably the deepest and boxing but none of the good fighters will actually fight each other it's **** infuriating
