Figueroa hasn't made weight, Gomez v Soto is off as well as Gomez didn't make weight.

What is going on across the pond recently in regards to weight?!

Gomezs lazy ass missing weight pisses me off I was looking forward to that fight

It was the most interesting fight to me this weekend. Young prospect with borderline focus issues fighting a solid veteran past his peak.

I think Canelo crushes 90% of time.

Burns Figgy is a good fight. Hate that Figgy is overweight, doesn't bode well for a slugfest imo (and that's what it'll be if Burns has any chance).

Damn, Tapia fight was good, dude needs to learn how to go down instead of standing up at all costs and getting it waived off....

Could've survived easily.

Hard to tell from the camera angle, but it looked like his gloves touched the mat at some point during the onslaught. Should have been given a count if that happened.

I noticed that too (after the first or second punch) on replay, but couldn't see if it was the case or not. Huge setback for Tapia though. One has to wonder if he'll ever be anything more than a recognizable name.

i'm kind of souring on the kirkland-alvarez fight myself

i just can't see kirkland lasting more than a few rounds. it's fun to think about what if he shows that warrior spirit but realistically he has some godawful appearances (asian guy, molina) and even in his absolute best appearances (angulo, tapia) he is basically in complete brawls with guys who are not even close to as technically good as canelo, and we just saw canelo make angulo look like trash. really really really hope i'm wrong but without wolfe too I just don't see it. will watch anyway of course. think canelo knocks him out within 5

When are you arriving?.
Flying in on the 18th and spending the week for my brother-in-law's 50th. Planning to do a bunch of touristy stuff throughout the week, catch 187 on the Saturday and fly back to Toronto the next day.

McDonnell-Kameda was good, Figueroa-Burns entertaining so far.

amazing card

i was clearly wrong about Burns which is good news for my viewing pleasure

if only people bitching and moaning about boxing in the may-pac thread would watch this free card on CBS which has been fantastic...somehow i doubt they are

Cole being a clown as usual

gotta be impossible for the compubox guys on this fight. gl with that

that being said the fight is getting sloppy as they are both tired as hell it seems

Would be great if burns doesn't get screwed on scorecards but I have my doubts

With two point deductions he is Prob screwed

Damn that ref was a complete farce and the scoring no better.

At least the Hearn Birmingham card delivered with a lot of competitive fights ......

Am I the only one who thought Burns should have won the fight?

EDIT: Forgot the point deductions. So I had it 113-113

lol Laurence Cole

Could've used that Ref in the 2nd Mayweather Maidana fight.

All boxers should boycott fighting in Texas until Cole is fired.

Judges are ****. Refs are ****. Texas is **** for fighting.

Well UK fans now you know what it's like when US fighters get screwed at Wembley and O2.

I've just got back from this. I actually had a good night, yea I was drinking and I'm almost certain if I'd have watched it at home I'd have been moaning about the match ups but the Eggington fight was decent and that punch from Joshua was explosive live. The guy Callum Smith fought looked like a pissed up plumber or something.

Joshua walked straight past me during his ring walk and I've honestly never seen a guy so scary big as him in the flesh.

no i think the majority of people thought burns won actually

i thought it was close and could have gone either way but saw lots of scorecards on BLH that had burns winning like the first 6 rounds. i thought there were quite a few swing rounds at the beginning tho

I was finicky on 114-112 Burns or 113-113.

The most forgiving score I can give Figueroa imo is 114-112. No way he won more than 6 rounds.

Clottey apparently won a wide decision over Jorge Silva today. Silva is a decent fighter. Might see Clottey on TV again soon I guess

edit- just looked at silva's boxrec. maybe not as decent as i thought with six losses in a row lol. had no idea he is only 23

also apparently juan manuel marquez randomly fought last weekend v some guy that is 8-30-1...wat
