It looked like 8-4 Floyd, maybe 7-5 if you give Manny the last round

UK viewers spent the night having to listen to Carl Froch repeatedly mention that he fought in front of 80,000 at Wembley.

That's the funny of the night. If you don't count the fools at the bro bar I had to deal with on a $25 cover to see this fight.

GG on the over 11.5 though, eeeez!

Ohh well, same old same old really.

As ludicrous as it sounds .. i think the only fighter that might cause any problems to Mayweather is Khan.

Only because of the style of fighting Khan brings to the ring ... hes careless enough to actually just try and bomb out Mayweather with flurries of punches.

Why everyone tries to knock out Mayweather with single punches is beyond me ... just plays right into what Mayweather wants you to do.

His defensive skills are obviously superb, his ability to keep you just out of range is remarkable but Khan would just go kung ho and it would at least be competitive whilst it lasted.

Granted that might not be that long but at least it would be fun to watch.

Yea Manny's strategy was pretty terrible. I think Kahn would try to box Floyd too though. He hasn't taken chances vs guys like Alexander recently even.

Manny camp talking about a bum right shoulder. Arum said Manny rehurt it in the 3rd round though. Manny wasn't doing anything different/better in rds 1&2, so seems like an excuse to me. Also, if Manny really thought he won the fight, isn't it the job of his corner to say "you need a KO here Manny" at some point in the last 2 rounds?

So who does Floyd fight next?

I'd guess Cotto and Kahn are the two favorites. Garcia, Brook and Thurman are dark horse candidates.

I'd really like to see him end with GGG at 154. No chance, but damn that would be so cool.

My respect for Floyd has reached a all time high i think.

He's just too good i reckon.

So many aggressive fighters have got into the ring with him and literally every single one of them have tightened up in the face of his counters.

He just has the ability to remove the confidence of any aggressive fighter within a few rounds and then just strolls to victory without facing much offence from his opponent.

Quite remarkable really.

Not much chance of that i reckon ... would be great though.

I would settle for GGG to fight Froch instead.

This tweet made me laugh about Froch: "If Carl Froch was best man at your wedding he'd just read out his Wikipedia page and raise a glass to himself".

Im almost convinced Froch is just trolling everyone with this rubbish ... its almost as if he is deliberately taking every opportunity to big himself up in front of the camera.

Im yet to be convinced anyone can be that far up their own backside without it being intentional.

I think it's legit, he's a good boxer at his peak of popularity and financial success, surrounded by show business types that are all too happy to inflate him.

Could be totally wrong though. I think Fury plays it up 100% (easier to see through bc he acts so poorly lol).

Funny tweet.

More talk about Thurman being Floyd's opponent in September. He's not very tested, but he has some raw skills that I'd welcome in the ring against Floyd. I think he's more likely to go out on his chin if Floyd is running away with the fight too. Not sure he can put it together to really do much to Floyd, but I'd prefer him over Garcia by a lot, and still over Kahn. Kahn will just get outboxed. Floyd will time him on the way in constantly and Kahn will just try to box for 12 rounds then bitch about a decision loss with "he didn't touch me."

I guess my list in preference order (using realistic opposition, maybe looser when including prior opponents):

Thurman
Cotto
Kahn
Manny
Canelo
Brook
Mathysse
Garcia
Broner

Looking above I guess nothing really excites me, not a huge difference between many of these. Anyone feel differently?

Canelo should have been his last fight with Mayweather agreeing to lose the fight for the good of boxing.

he should give Juan Manuel Marquez one more try. he deserves it ldo.

Thurman, if he beats Porter will certainly deserve it much more than Khan who has 1 good win since Maidana (late 2010).

I hope Floyd and Manny lose their next fights to 'put over' a new generation in the same way Oscar put built Floyd and Manny.
