Andre Ward confirmed fighting Paul Smith on June 20th in Oakland. Complete mismatch but might just be the warm up for a Froch rematch.

Looks like you have to pay $10 to see the Pacquiao/Mayweather weigh-in

http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id...s-begin-friday

Only weigh-in I would pay for would be Mayweather-Hatton. That atmosphere would have been worth it.

Kovalev is officially as much to blame as Stevenson for their fight not happening. Ridiculous that Duva demands Stevenson fight on HBO at 50-50. The former is the biggest issue, let it go to the highest bidder, that's what is best for your fighter.

This is good too

Quote:
According to Arum, Pacquiao will only go to the MGM for the final press conference, weigh-in and the fight with Mayweather on May 2nd.

"We're not gonna stay there any more than we have to, because we know the way they've been acting we're not welcome," Arum said to the Associated Press. "We told them we're coming in Monday night and we're going to the Mandalay Bay and we're not doing a grand arrival at the MGM. We'll have the press come over to Mandalay Bay and do an interview with Manny there."
Maybe Bob doesn't realize that MGM owns Mandalay Bay too.

I think at some point Manny will start juicing again. Not sure if it will be for this fight or the next. But I think there will be a definite opportunity to bet on him at some point.

Dirrell was garbage but well done to Badou Jack. Think Groves knocks him out as his mandatory though.

Groves said yesterday that Dirrell would easily beat Jack!

Thought Dirrell would beat Jack easily as well.

Dirrell looked like he mentally checked out in the 2nd half of the fight. He didn't look tired. He didn't look injured. He didn't get hurt during the fight.

Groves should take care of Jack. Badou looked good, but against who?

Haymon has always been of the belief that nobody gives a **** about the undercard. I'm surprised there's an undercard in the first place given the main event.

i'm semi intrigued by the ali-santana fight

hoping ali looks good and gets a name fighter at welterweight next. he looks like he could be good (altho i only saw him once or twice). don't really expect anything out of jennings.

ali won 97-93 (x2) and 100-90 (LOOOOL)

i'm not even convinced ali won that fight but 7-3 is fine. I didn't score it as i was a bit busy watching some other sports. 10 rounds to none is hilarious. just like unfathomable. i like ali he will get a big fight soon but santana was looking pretty good and a fun action fighter so i hope he is on tv again. tempted to say i would have expected a better performance from ali if he was truly gonna be a contender at welterweight but i think there are lots of good fights to be made for him at that weight

We'll see a KO soon I think. Jennings tiring and not moving his head so much.

Props to Jennings for going the distance. Got 1, maybe 2 rounds.

lol @ these broadcasters on Box Nation thinking that American judges will give Jennings the win

Turned out pretty wrong. Jennings showed good stamina, though Wlad to me showed even better stamina. He was hopping around fresh every round. I thought he looked a little slower at times in the Povetkin fight, even though he knocked him down a bunch.

Jennings just doesn't have the skill to do much though. Hard to say Jennings won more than 1-2 rounds objectively. Probably 117-110 or so.

Thought he got at most two.
